I received an unexpected invitation to the dinner party by my old friend. The invitation to attend this party costs money as the host put in an invitation card as 100 bucks and it will go to one of the charity foundations.
I find it awkard to decline his invitation straight forward as I don't want to offend him. How should I say it in a nice way to him perhaps I might just take it as no-show attitude and forget about receiving this invitation.
Personally, I feel this is definitely not a proper way in sending an invitation to friends for fund raising.

My husband's immediate work supervisor recently gifted us a VERY handsome gift certificate at a home furnishing store as a wedding present. And it was way too generous. I have already spoken to him and thanked him for this wonderful gift and my husband wants me to send an email additionally. But I feel a hand-written note is a better idea to express thanks. What do you think????

I am do intensive research into why people get blammed for forgetting things dispite trying thier hardest to remember.

This is so that I know what can be done about it and how best to respond to it.

This is a page of the research process and notes.

After reading this, can people tell me what you think of this information?

I try to be as different as possible on the net, because in real life, I'm a plain jane with no personality. But on the internet I totally open up and I'am myself. Anyways, on websites I join I try to make my profiles, messages and name as creative and silly as possible but I always find people who copy my name and ideas. Like they add numbers to a name or copy my messages and send them to friends like they wrote them or if I can broadcast a stupid ,meaningless message on a website, someone else goes and copies me. And then I get chewed out by that persons friend for copying! How can I make it so I get less copy cats ??

She bent over to pick something up, he was facing the other way, she came up quickly while his arm was coming down. POW! Right in the kisser. Cracked tooth = damages at $5000 (she wants an implant). They are lovers out of convenience, with no plans for a future together, in fact, relationship was about to end. She wants him to look into having his homeowner's insurance cover it. What is the right thing to do?

I'm 22, will be 23 at the time of the wedding. She's 11, (big gap!) but i love her very much and would love for her to be my maid of honor. She would be BY FAR the youngest person in the ceremony, my fiance is 31, will be almost 32 at the time, the best man would be almost 30... or should i find another role for her, and ask someone else rto be my maid of honor?

When I do not notice complete strangers I feel better, but when I look at them I get depressed and lose my self-confidence. So I avoid looking at strangers (I only have eyes for beautiful girls/women near my age). What do you feel? Should someone eye-contact complete strangers or no? I forgot to say that I have a stunning photographic memory, so that's another reason I avoid eye-contact with strangers.

I work in customer service and a guy called in today with a REALLY heave indian accent, and wanted to change his address. ok well I ask him for his new one and he starts talking at 1,000 words a second and I didnt understand a word of it. So I was like Sir can you say it again slower? He just says it louder not slower....and I was like sir its not that I cant hear you its because you are talking to fast....then he just says it EVEN LOUDER.... so I go SIR it is not how loud your talking, you have an accent so you have to go slow.

I ended up getting in trouble from my manager because I I said he had an accent. Do you think I should have?? What do you think?

I have about 80 people coming. Im also thinking maybe I can have drink tickets, give everyone a ticket for one drink when they arrive, that way everyone gets a drink on me and they buy the rest. Any ideas?? Im really stuck! The venue has agreed to do drink specials as well. Do people expect you to supply alcohol these days all night? if I do put on a tab I could probably only supply 300 bucks worth and when it runs out it runs out. But it will probably run out quick and then people coming later will miss out! I am also supplying 200 jelly shots. What to do?? Help!

Should I add my friend's bro. to mysace as a buddy? He is the man I have been in love with for a while-and he was kind of suspicious, but could never comfirm it. My friend to this day never knew my feelings never stopped for him; instead the kept growing. I am slowly learning to let go. He is 23 , I' m 19. He will be graduating this year and becoming an officer-so I doubt he'll have time for this type of thing. I feel like time is running out, and I do want to be his friend him-but at the same time I don't. What should I do? ...I'm sure he won't reject me, and he would obviously see my info. Thanks.

I hate to come home and park on the street. It fits two cars and my husband is usually home before me. I think people who are visiting should not park in the driveway. Even if the person has been visiting for over six months(mother -in law getting a divorce). I am the last to leave in the morning and the last to arrive home at night. Am i wrong for not liking that?

An older woman who is a new employee at my work place keeps coming on to me, initiate conversation, checking on me, trying to befriend me in every possible way. Initially I was friendly with her, but then I soon realized she's not normal in the head. It seems she constantly need someone to talk to but she can't seem to find anyone at work to be friend with except me. I am really sick and tired of her coming on behavior, but have to be very polite to her when refusing to chit chat with her. She is persistent and my patience has ran out. I don't want to complain about her to a supervisor. How to get her off me??? PLEASE HELP ME GET RID OF THIS CRAZY NUT!

Well I work at a grocery store and we are supposed to ask if the person wants a carry out after an order. And I didn't for this one person. My assisatant manager (manager at the time) says "why didn't you ask if they wanted a carry out: and I said back to him "that person looked like a healthy patriotic American and I think they could handle it themselves". He got all pissed.

Later that night when I left I changed then clocked out too. He said: "Don't do that i'm not paying you to change" and I said "everyone does it so why can't I". He just got pissed and walked away.

Do you think I should apologize to him. I'd prefer not to loose my job, but at the same time don't really care because it is a crappy mimimum wage job.

It was pretty funny wize comments but disrespectful too.

Also, the assistant manager is bipolar.

Recently I have been noticing how most people's conversations have SOMETHING to do with age differences... Up until now I have never really given it much thought... because to me the concept of someone being "too old" for someone else is ridiculous.

I have met plenty of people of who were much older than I that I could get along with perfectly fine and maintain great conversations with.

Whether it be friendships or relationships (which seems to be the most frowned upon.) I mean, come on, is it just me, or is this concept just absurd?

It's nothing to do with age if you ask me, more to do with intellect, maturity, and even spirituality (if one is into that kind of thing). I think people who judge by age need to be a bit less close-minded.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
