Have you already bought all the alcohol? A good thing to do would be to tell your good friends to bring a bottle each or something like that! If you have already bought the stuff it makes it a little difficult, because people don't expect you to ask them for money afterwards. People who are close to you can help out though-I'm sure you can think of some people to talk to! If your party is not at your house, but rather a bar or something where the drinks have to be bought anyway, then it should be that if you want a drink, you pay for it yourself at the bar! If you are willing to pay for everyones first drink, then the ticket idea is great! Good luck and happy birthday;)

If it is YOUR birthday then you are not suppose to host the party or supply the alcohol.
Also alcohol = danger. The party is not over until EVERY person gets home safely.
If someone crashes your party or is an invited guest and gets drunk and kills someone when they leave driving drunk YOU can face criminal charges.
I am not joking. Dont host parties for large crowds with alcohol cause just because someone drinks at your house (especially if under 21 people show up) you can be criminally charged later. Is 1 party worth years in court and jail?
Go out and celebrate at a bar like normal 21 yr olds and have your friends pay for a few rounds.

I would say that you do not have to supply the alcohol to anyone but yourself. If you do want to supply some maybe think about just getting a couple beer kegs from the bar and letting them use that until it is gone.. otherwise as long as the venue has agreed to do some drink specials that sounds fair to me.

It's your birthday, they should buying your drinks...do the jello shots and that should be that...and even that is too much as far as I'm concerned....let the house run drink specials and be sure to mention them...you are not hosting the party at your home so don't worry about feeding people liquor!

Supplying the jello shots is enough, really. If you want you could give them the tickets for the shots that would be behind the bar so that way everyone got their allotment.

Its your day. People should give u free drinks not the other way around. Have open bar for a few hour and then after that have them pay for what u are not. That is fair. If people get mad I guess they are not real freinds.

I really like your drink ticket idea. If people don't want to pay for their own drinks, then at least they won't drink too much.

Uhmmm, if it is your birthday, you shouldn't have to provide the drinks unless it is a private venue. If anything, people should be buying you drinks.

It is quite polite to requets that guests bring their own. Those who want to drink or drink heavily must supply their own instead of loading off you when all you want to do is celebrate your birthday with friends :-)

It's your birthday party and your guests will not expect you to buy them drinks. More than likely, they will want to buy you drinks.
