Okay, first of all does anyone here know what a Triceratop was/is?

Okay, second, back to my original question: Why do I think my friend is not too bright? We both went to the same schools, at least until High School. Now she didn't know what a Triceratop was? But she doesn't know what other things are either, like everyday type of things. For example: This guy asked her if she was Persian? she didn't know what that was.

How do I deal with her shortness of mind (hehe, that's my spin off of shortness of breath)

Haven't you noticed that anytime you disagree with someone you get a thumbs down?

Two guys so far have asked me to go to a dance with them for valentines with them. I've already said no to one of them, simply because they we're gonna use me to get their ex-girlfriend jealous. The other guy asked because he likes me. I really don't enjoy going to dances, but I don't want him to be shy around me if I say no. I know that if I tell him no it will be awkward to be around him. What should I do?

I'm just curious what would happen if we stood back and took a look at the other person's perspective. there would be alot less selfish beings around now wouldn't you think?

I'm throwing a party this weekend and I can't figure out what to do to keep the party keep lively, without running the risk of being the obnoxious host. Any ideas?

I have a good friend of mine who is kind enough to occasionally invite my family over to her house for dinner (with her family). So, I will usually be the one that brings a dessert over (like pie). When it's time for dessert my friend will bring the pie over to the table but not cut into it. So then the dessert just sits there until I offer to cut and serve the slices to all of the guests. I do not mind doing this, but when I am the hostess of a party, I will usually do the slicing and serving. Which is the proper way? Your help is greatly appreciated.

not to insult all mexicans, but everytime I go through the drive through of Del Taco, they ask me what kind of sauce I want and I tell them. Sometimes they don't really ask what kind and just say "sauce?" ANd I say "mild please" and then they don't (never) pay attention and they always end up giving me a different kind of sauce! It's really annoying!

For my girlfriend's shower, I plan to have potluck party. There will be around 50-60 guests. Since there is a rather big number of people attending, it would be a little challenging for me to cook for this number of crowd. Is this an appropriate idea? How should I write it in the invitation that would express this in the most brief and polite way?

Suggestions are very welcome. Thank you so much!

17 years ago I was widowed. My husband had a six year old grandson that was born during our marriage. I felt as though he were my grandson and I adored him. After a few years I remarried and his daughter (the boys mom) did not approve. Therefore our relationship was splintered. For the last few years I have been watching the paper to see if he was getting married. Well, last Sun. there it was. I was thrilled to see a picture of him. Would it be proper to attend his wedding without an invitation. I just want to see him get married. He would not know who I was, but of course his mom would.

My old roommate left a forwarding address. Can I write this on the mail she receives or will they not send it to her? Do I just write return to sender? It's important stuff (like taxes and all that) so I want her to get it, but I just don't see that it's my responsibility to send her a package with all her mail or anything.

Do you think it's inappropriate for women to play with their shoes? I had a teacher who was always slipping her shoes off and playing with them in front of the class, and i think it's unproffesional. Does it bother you?

After this mom asked me to do something for her family that could have ended my husband's career... I avoid going to group get togethers if she is there. She sends me emails requesting that we get together. I just want her to get the clue.
