Haven't you noticed that anytime you disagree with someone you get a thumbs down?

I usually give thumbs down to an answer that is either rude, untrue or indeed if I strongly disagree. Not any answer that wouldn't be mine, but if it's completely opposite to my point of view I may do so. Yes, everyone is free to express their opinion, it's not like it's an abuse report! I've only used the abuse report twice, on real spam (people posting commercial links that had nothing whatsoever to do with the question). Thumbs up or down isn't about freedom of speech, it's just one way of saying 'I agree' or 'I disagree', 'well said' or 'I don't think so'.

I get thumbs down for some good answers that I have had. It all depends on people's opinions and how bad they want to get best answer for the question. Some people think by giving your answer a thumbs down mean that their answer will more likely get picked.

It does seem to go that way often. It's like everyone just wants agreement.

I give a bit more details in my answers if I'm going to flat out disagree. I try to be persuasive, I haven't really looked to see if it's working or not....

Ha ha

If you disagree with someone, then, logically, they will disagree with you. Which is what the thumbs are for, isn't it?

This is an infomation opinion site, right? You give your input and we give ours. Maybe the 2 shall never meet, but we have the American right to give you our answer and our opinion on yours. You have the same right. Living in America is wonderful. What would we have to do if not this???????

You know what I find funny? Being atheist automatically makes your answers null and void.
