Putting a question in all capital letters is the same as shouting in real life. It makes reading things more difficult to read, and is not pleasing to the eye. Capital letters should only be used where it is grammatically correct to do so, and when trying to empasize a point or word; and it should only be done for the word or phrase you are emphasizing, not the entire sentence.

It's considered shouting. It's poor Netiquette (Internet etiquette), and people who do it are generally considered undereducated clods. Do you walk up to people on the street and scream questions in their ear? Then don't do it online, either. In the case of a forum like YA, which doesn't have a handy way to use italics, certain individual words can be put in caps for emphasis, but not an entire question or statement.

Yes, it's not only considered rude, but obnoxious as well. In netiquette terms all capital letters is considered shouting, and people that do it are considered dolts. I'm sure that's not what you want people to think about you :)

Capital letters generally are a way of showing you would be yelling if you said what you type.

Internet savvy folks consider that to be yelling. Do you really want someone to be yelling at you the entire time you are having a conversation.

It's not rude to me...

BUT TYPING THE ENTIRE CHAT LIKE THIS IS TO ME.

You see, typing things in CAPS implies that something is yelled. How would you like it if someone was constantly yelling at you?

It's not really rude.... but it is annyoing.

And, besides, suppose you wanted to EMPHASIZE something. If EVERYTHING you type is already in caps, how would you do it? (It's a pity we can't use html on this board)
