If so, was there anyone in there and how badly were you embarrased?

Weird situation came up this morning. I was walking to a store from my car. A woman was also walking slightly ahead of me. I increased my pace in an attempt to get to the door before her, to hold it for her. However, she sped up faster than I did and beat me to it. She was my age, and held the door for me. It was an ackward situation, where I had the following choices:

A) Walk through the door, shrug it off, and forget about it. Attempt to grab the 2nd door as I go in.

B) Grab the door from her as she's holding it. (not as forceful as it sounds)

What would you have done in that situation? Women, what would you prefer I would have done?

Today in my new bio class we were taking about melanocytes and skin color and races and migration, etc. So my new teacher (who I think is Jewish, but I'm not sure) points me out in class & says I have "a typical Jewish phenotype." I don't know what this mean aside from the fact that I have dark eyes & hair (I am 1/2 from Italian descent), although my hair is pretty straight & my skin is pretty fair.

I have nothing against Jewish people but somehow I felt really embarrassed & everyone looked at me.
Am I wrong or was he wrong to say this? Thank you.

I am so mean to people and think that I am better than them. I want to stop this behaviour and start becoming nice. I always look down on others if they dont meet my standards.

How do I become a nicer person? I am 24 female.

Should you take the side of a friend, or truly weigh the issue against your own values and pick the side that holds more true to yourself, and risk the loss of friendship? Basically, which do you choose, integrity or friendship?

been unable to find the regs for each branch of service to do a proper 3 volley rifle salute. I watch an air force unit do it, they fired from the waist, and aimed the rifles at the funeral party. i do not belive that is correct.

Sometimes it is hard to forgive, but I believe it's better to forgive and move on.

Regarding trash - the little tray thingie under the menu - is that to be used for trash or not? I see many people leave their empty bags and cups there - not sure if that's what it is for or not? Any ideas?

And my wedding present from my fiance was a Louis Vuitton purse. I don't own any of these bags so I was excited and went yesterday to the store to pick one out. When I chose one, I asked the salesgirl for the price..without giving me the price she looks up at me and says, " Maybe you should pick one out that you can afford." I was so angry and wanted to scratch her eyes out but I was with my son and decided to just turn around and walk out. Should I have said something to her or even her manager?

I went to a High School Football game last night. and during Halftime of the Varsity Game there was an announcement that a Tree was planted in memory of a past Student who passed away. there was a Moment of Silence, but some of the People there just kept Laughing and Talking. I know they might not have known the Student but I think they could have been Silent for a Minute out of Respect for the Family. Am I right or Wrong?
