An afternoon bbq with my collegues from work was a lot of fun. We drank and chatted the afternoon away; had lots of laughs. The bbq was held at a boss's home-but the food and libations were paid for out of our company's entertainment budget. When I left, I put a quarter full bottle of Drambuie in my bag. I feel really stupid and horrible about that. Now I want to know if I should ignore my bad manners and hope that nobody noticed or cares or should I return the bottle. I feel quite embarrassed and really stupid as I am looked up to and haven't done something like this before.

Return it on Tuesday when I get into work?
Ignore it and hope others ignore it too as a one off ?

my mother when i was 18 knew i liked one girl from a couple of doors down the street and asked her in. when i came in i saw her sitting in the kitchen enjoying a cup of tea with my mam. i was supprised to see her and sat down and asked what was going on and the next thing my mam said im going out tonight with her and gave me 50 quid. so as you can imagine it was quite a shock. i saw the girl for about 3 month but it soon fizzled out and yes mam thanks for it but i would never tell my mam who i liked again she told all the neighbours and the girls parents that she got us toghether. thanks mam i miss you and you made me laugh all the time. x x x

I was recently watching a documentary on TV and this American gentleman was building himself a "real fine custom motorcycle"(yawn). He said "I can't wait to see the audience's reaction when I wheel THIS into the arena".....

Well, I for one correctly predicted the audience's reaction- they started howling and whooping like baboons.

This is an interesting cultural phenomenon because European audiences certainly DON'T whoop. Does anyone know the origin and purpose of this howling and whooping, and when it started? Am I right in thinking it only started in the mid- eighties?

Some Chinese believe that it would bring you bad luck and you will
forever be poor. Is it a bad table etiquette in your country? But why do some people shake their legs unconsciously?

We've all seen the skits, all witnessed the zany attitudes of the uncaring everyday stories about nothing. Is there a guide, pamphlet or reference handbook to follow along with these behavioral attitudes?

Today at work I asked this girl I like a question. She made this funny looking face and I laughed. I only laughed because it was so cute, but she said it hurt her feelings. I am uncomfortable around people so I got flustered, after she said that and because of that I said something that made it worse and didn't tell her why I laughed. Should I apologize for the misunderstanding and what I did?

I hate my co-worker, she's loud, obnoxious, incredibly defensive, she'll tease you and if you tease her back she gets upset. She is insecure as HELL. She's gross. I know everyone has a co worker that they cannot stand, but I have this urge to kick her fat @$$. Of course, I do not want to be fired. I can't avoid her because I deal with her as a coworker anyways. What should I do? I can't kick her (i'd probably bounce right off that huge behind) , and please no comments about killing. A few more details:

She's almost 40 but thinks she's a cute 20 year old.
weighs about 250 pounds and about 5'5
her voice is really high pitched and loud. Think of Fran Drescher on helium.
she makes every attempt to make you look bad in front of your boss
she asks questions and cuts you off every single time.

First off if these are true Muslims the traditional radical gifts and jokes are not relevant. But with any wedding it is suggested that you ask those about to be married what they are in need of. Often they have a gift item list or even a place where they are registered such that gifts are not repeated. I think everyone needs a can opener and when I got married I had to buy one as no one got one thinking everyone else would. Money is a gift that works for everyone and every situation or a gift certificate. If you were serious I am sorry if someone offended you but they have a rather spry sense of humor out here and may have thought you were not being serious. I hope this is of help to anyone getting married because even Walmart, Kmart and some charity stores have gift certificates. Find out what their favorite store is. Honestly I think you all could think up some better gifts along with jokes along with the offensive insults in case this is a serious question.
