If a guest is staying at your resort, and after you have met with them you run into them during their leizure time while still at your resort,how would you greet them. Would you say something like, hello Mr. Whoever, How is everything? Please let me know if I can do anything for you. ?

Looking back at the way we used to view smoking - I have to laugh..

Forrest Gump - the doctor is fitting Forrest with leg braces while a cigarette dangles from his lip.

An old movie George Segal I think - takes up jogging, but refuses to quit smoking - one scene he's jogging while smoking.

People who take pictures of their sleeping babies by placing a cigarette between their lips. - seen it.

Every cub scout project in the 1970's "We're making an ashtray" - did it.

Children whose parents would dress them as a box of Marlboro for a childs halloween party - seen it.

People smoking in church - seen it.

Any other smoking anachronisms you know of?

I live in a city in which I am the minority even though my race is considered the majority. My professor was very negative toward white people in general and blamed us for the way of the country. I kept myself quiet, but inside I fumed because most of her statements were untrue.

I work with a woman that is only here part-time (2 days a week----yeah, that's it!). She's so miserable to work with when she is here! She skimps out on her work...which leaves more for me! She complains, huffs and whines the whole time she's here! I'm sure our boss sees this...but she's (my boss) so unconfrontational that she's doing nothing about it! My boss uses my computer sometimes and when I was away she moved all the icons around to try to match to the formation of her own computer. I was stunned. I would like to know if my reaction is an over reaction. I realize she owns the computer but I would like to hear if you think I am overreacting.

I am SO sick of people giving me a thumbs down on my answers for no reason. I'm not being rude or cruel in any way, and some jack@ss comes along and starts going all the way down the row giving everyone thumbs down on their answers. I wish we could see who leaves us feedback because they would definately get a piece of my mind. Am I just being over-sensitive, or does this bother anyone else?

I will feel really awkward there on my own as I am now single, and the other people I might have "Taken" with me are unavailable. Do you think I am right to worry about going. I only vaguely know a few other people and they will be there with their other halfs. Do you think she will be offended if I send her a card and some money in the post and don't go. If i post today it should arrive by tomorrow.
