I' m in a bad mood. One of my bosses is always annoying me. It's like he tries to make me uncomfortable/annoyed on purpose. If he says one thing to me, I may snap. How do I let him know he should keep his mouth shut? lol

Maybe I should just quit.....if he would just leave me alone, everything would be fine. I can't complain to my others bosses because they're all buddies, and one is related to him. He makes me sooo anxious though!

I don't have an office door. My office is everyone else's office.

HE does childish things, like sit in a chair and stare at me until I look at him, ramble on and on about nothing even if I'm super busy, etc. Like I said....it's like he's trying to annoy me on purpose. And he's not that young either....like 45 to 50 I think.

Unfortunatley he's the boss and unless you can claim that he's harassing you there isn't much. Closing your door may help to a point but again he is the boss. Remember too though just because he's an twit doesn't mean you should lower yourself and reciprocate. Keep cool and when you get off work today go treat yourself to something as a reward for putting up with the silly bastard all day.

Yeah just try your best to ignore him. And if it persists you could take it to higher management saying you have a hard time getting your work done when he is around.
I had the same type of boss. He'd pace in front of my cubicle making noises and snapping his fingers. I asked him to stop once but it didn't work. In the end I was so frickin' sick of it that I quit this week! Now he won't even talk to me or look at me. It's as if the switch has been turned off. At least I get 2 weeks of silence from his end!

Maybe you SHOULD just quit.
Or maybe it's you. Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder.
You could try being a grownup and if the boss asks something of you that you can't do because of time or workload just explain that . You might ask what other task you should neglect for the new one. After all it is you boss's job to direct your work.

A creative idea....
Write an, "Out of Order until 9/5/2006. Have a nice day," sign in a different language and place it behind you.( i.e. cubie wall, or chair)
Ex. Italian: Guastato al 5 settembre 2006. Abbia un giorno piacevole.
If anyone asks, laugh, smile and continue working and ignore them.
It will be enough to have them think you're being a little off and they may just leave you alone because it's out of character.
Good luck to you.

He's got the power-not you. I know that doesn't sound very nice, but it is reality. You can't change him and his behavior. Sadly, I think you need to look for another job. But please wait until you have another one before you quit!
The only other thought I had was that you mention he is staring at you a lot. You might want to mention it to the other bosses in passing, just let them know that you find it very uncomfortable to work with him staring. If you hint that you think it might be sexual harrassment, then--relative or not--they will scramble to make him knock it off before you take any action.

I feel you on this one girlfriend...I have a niggling, micromanaging "issue" here on my job. Personally, I treat the bastard like he doesn't exist...people who do annoying, petty **** on purpose don't phase me. But, in your situation, I think you should definitely confront him, professionally that is, about how he treats you and why he does it. If he has a "boss", I think you should meet w/ him or her and discuss how this person treats you, it makes you miserable on your job, and uncomfortable working there. Crap like that creates a hostile working environment and it's a g'damn shame people can't just do their jobs and be left alone!!
In the meantime, I'm looking for another job to get away from my situation...you should do the same!
You know what that's sheer harassment...you gonna have to 'make waves' somehow 'cuz that **** can't continue!!!

Perhaps he is sending you a message that he no longer wishes you to work there. If you quit, it prevents him from having to fire you. Do your job, say nothing, and when he tries to provoke you, laugh at him. If he asks why you are laughing, simply say that you have just thought about something funny that you had seen on television of in a movie (have a non provokative story prepared so he canot possibly take it personally).
Your presence their and your lack of response should anger him even more. Do nothing wrong and then take him to court when he fires you without cause. Clai that he made sexual advances towards you that you rebuffed and watch how fast the out of court settlement is offered.

Send him an e-mail that you are a carrier for a virus that is only contagious to upper management types (bosses). Tell him that contact with you will reduce his ability to manage effectively, and create a miasma of non-productivity over him and everyone else. Stress them it will also severely reduce the size of his....well, you get the picture :)

You find a new job first but you do not tell anyone at work. At work try to smile and be nice to him. I think he is doing this to mess with you. So you mess with him. Then he will leave you alone. You can never be horrible to your boss cuz he rules and he makes decisions. So just be nice to him and come on his nerves. ha ha it should work.

Tell him you bit the cat this morning, and ask him if you still have any cat hair around your mouth.
Here's something that might help - I learned this in my meditation class. It sounds funny, but it really does help.
Picture the person in your mind. Bring the image close to you, and give them a bouquet of roses. Then push them back away from you, and blow them up. Be as graphic and explosive as you wish, and do it as many times as necessary.
By giving them the roses you are wishing them well and telling them goodbye.
