I will feel really awkward there on my own as I am now single, and the other people I might have "Taken" with me are unavailable. Do you think I am right to worry about going. I only vaguely know a few other people and they will be there with their other halfs. Do you think she will be offended if I send her a card and some money in the post and don't go. If i post today it should arrive by tomorrow.

Stop stressing, stop thinking about yourself and go and support your friend. Isn't her desire to have you there on her special day more important that a little discomfort (discomfort I may add that you may not even feel, especially if you hook up with a fit guy).
Get up, find a sexy dress and go!

You HAVE to go!!

I had to go to a wedding this year on my own and as someone further up said, I pulled an Usher!

And because I had no one to worry about I could be truly selfish and let go. I danced, drank and had a brilliant time! Probably one of the best weddings i've been to

And I made sure the usher was near by when the Slow Dances came on so I wasnt standing on the edge on my own.

you'll have a fab time. Let us know how you get on. If you really need a plus one, take a girlie mate. You dont always have to have a man to have a good time.

P.S If someone sent me a card at the last minute with moolar in it instead of coming, I would be annoyed. They invited you as they want you to share their special day with them

Go to your friends wedding. You will regret it if you don't and your friend will want you there. You can't fix it later. You would be the only one there making yourself feel awkward, haven't you thought about how many people will be there and be jealous of you for being single and having as much fun as you want?? Being in a relationship is not everything. You never know you could meet a hottie there and it could be great. Go and have a great time, if anyone does make you feel awkward, they are a*seholes and would you want to know them?? Get your frock and lippy on girl and go see your pal get married!!

I have a wedding coming up too and I'm dreading the whole couple thing with me in the middle of them all without someone!

I almost feel embarrassed for myself! But it's your friend's wedding and you have to go even though he/she may only see you once throughout the entire day!

I don't want to go either, but it's an old friend... these day's they're hard to come by... So I'm going to just grin and bare it and remind myself that it will be over soon..

On the otherhand, you may not want the day to end!!!

If you were a man, you would not hesitate to go and strut around showing off the fact that you are still single.

As you are a woman does that mean that you should be ashamed of being single?

Go, dress up, and show off your singledom, all the 'marrieds' will be green with envy. Remember they were single once too.

Have a great time.

Take an "imaginary friend".
It worked during childhood, so worth a try now your'e grown up.
If you are outgoing enough it could be fun.
Insist they have a chair of their own, pass them the salt and pepper etc, at the table, if you're feeling brave enough, you could even introduce them to others.....
If nothing else, it should liven up the event.
Weddings can sometimes get to be a bit of a drag, specially at speech time.

Another thought, Cinderella went to the ball on her own, and look what happened to her!! She won the prince!!!

You couldn't possibly go. You'll have to sit at home on your own crying instead, thinking about what fun all the couples are having and trying to work out exactly where your life went so horribly horribly wrong. A tip, you can't gas yourself in new gas ovens.

I support you. If you don't feel good going, then send the card and some money. I don't believe in too much self-sacrifice or torment for someone's wedding. Most of the time they are too busy to be with you. They feel obligated to invite you because you are their friend and you feel obligated to attend just because they invited you thinking they might be offended if you don't attend when in fact your presence won't make or break their wedding celebration.

My daughter has taken Aleve for cramps, and it works nicely in controlling the discomfort. the completed secret to discomfort administration is to not enable it get out of hand. in case you be responsive to you would be uncomfortable, then this is totally nicely to take some drugs to avert the discomfort. i believe you could take Aleve each and every 8 hours, so if I have been her, i might take it approximately 8 interior the morning of the marriage, nevertheless at 4, and if she mandatory it lower back, in the darkish in the previous going to mattress. How long she would be in a position to pass with out changing her pad relies upon on how heavy her bypass is. There could be a room for the bridal celebration (ask your aunt to make specific, or your grandma) she would be in a position to maintain greater pads in there. Have your mom get the "in one day" pads, using fact those will enable her to pass the longest between changing. edit: I additionally remembered those stick on warmth pads, they make one particularly for menstrual relief. those artwork great too.
