Stratcat, that's because I do NOT want random weirdos e-mailing me. That is not rude, but it is rude when I e-mail a friend and this person doesn't e-mail me back.

I am trying to think of the reasons I don't return phone calls or e-mails. I don't consider myself rude but I do avoid unpleasent situations. I am most prone to ignore attempts to communicate with me when I don't know what to say or how I feel. Some part of me hopes that I will know in the future and I can reconnect and explain then, but that never happens. In truth, I am rude by not returning phone calls or e-mails just so I don't have to face being rude by revealing my true feelings, either way I end up being rude. That's not much of an answer but at least it's honest.

Some people are just absent-minded, some don't like to talk on the phone or e-mail, and some are just not very considerate. Regardless of the reason, it is as you said, rude, especially if you are waiting around for a reply.

I want telephone, because that is a lot faster to have a communique, notwithstanding e-mail is the way once you do not prefer to get sucked right into a lengthy telephone call with each and every of the mandatory pleasantries.

I know what you mean, I have a sister in law that never returns phone calls, I mean even a week later would be ok!
But unfortunately I'm guilty as charged and it's because I'm too busy.

I can't get your e mails except via my 360. Even there I cannot return them. Your AskYahoo e mail settings are not "enabled". This is not rudeness is it?

Everybody is busy. Sometimes I forget and don't call or write. I afford others the same privilege.
In other words, I don't think it's rudeness that they somehow ignored you. They probably just forgot.

thats really rude well when some one doesnt return phone calls or email that mean they dont care and believe me it has happen resently to me sad but true

sometimes I forget, and often the email goes straight to the trash because of strange yahoo issues, and sometimes I don't really want to make the effort to reply, or maybe I don't have the time, or really care that much.

maybe they had some kind of plans and are busy
maybe they just plain forgot
or
maybe they are just RUDE and won't respond

I agree.
Unfortunately, most people aren't so polite these days.
Don't let my granny know about this. She practically makes me send out thank you notes when someone helps me with homework or something.
