My question concerning a lawsuit against the Mormon church for failure to report child abuse was deleted. Who was so threatened by my question that they reported it. I'd be willing to bet someone from the church had this brought to their attention they filed multiple complaints on it, but we'll see what Yahoo has to say.

were you really atheists at one time, or would you consider yourself more of agnostic believers. in other words, would you say you definitely did not believe in any higher power or did you suspect some higher being must exist. what convinced you that there is a god. i doubt it was science. every scientific argument i've heard for the existence of god is usually the twisting of science to make it sound like there is a god. so was it just a life changing event, like you survived and accident where you were later told you shouldn't even be alive right now.

Its the Kandy Korn Witch Costume by Leg Avenue. I am 34 years old, I am a married mother of 2, ....I am a fit and in shape person, I am actually very proud of my body but I don't show it off. I went shopping with all of my friends that will be at the party and I let them pressure me into wearing sort of the same thing that they would be wearing. I guess since I am the oldest I feel a little weird like maybe I should be more matronly. My kids thought I looked cute and they were happy that I wasn't going as a nerd as I had originally planned on doing. My husband just wanted to get me in bed...that didn't help.

Is there somewhere I can get something like the common words or something that helps me learn on my Windows 95 Laptop that only takes floppy disks and it has no internet i wanna save it to one and just learn at home instead of havin to come to the library so much?

and it should be a rational reason. Any answers that refer to the bible will be ignored of course. Passages from an outdated book of bronze age jewish mytholgy do NOT count as "rational".

Next, for those of you who think that marriage is a religious institution; you are wrong. Why? because marriage is a LEGAL contract first and foremost, and religious second, if at all. Try this simple experiment; go to a church and try to get married without the legal paperwork. Can't be done.
Next, head over to city hall and get married by a judge without mentioning any brand of magic sky-pixie. No problem at all.
See?

And lastly, for those of you who say "it's not natural" consider this; homosexual behaviour has been observed in ALL mammalian species and even in some birds, fish and reptiles. Making it entirely natural. We ARE part of the animal kingdom after all, despite some people's ignorance about that fact.

So with that in mind, I'd like ONE rational reason to deny them the right.

Everyone says, "OMG, some Christian said that unless I believe in Jesus, then I'm going to hell!!"
Well DUH! If that's what Christians believe to be the truth, then that's what they'll preach. We'd be hypocrites if we didn't!
Just how like how some of you think you're intelligent animals (atheists), or jihadists on a mission (most Muslims) or that your priest has authority over your sins (??) (Catholics), or follow the Torah and keep kosher (Jews), or whatever. So what's the problem? So what, the message is offensive. It's supposed to be!

I am attempting to find some sources for a documentary for my kids that I am working on. I found plenty of positive sources from the Witnesses themselves, plenty of negative from outside sources and other christian groups, but none from secular sources or unbias sources. Please assist. Thanks.

I work as a hostess at the Olive Garden and I've come to the conclusion that people these days have what I call "Three Bears Syndrome". What I mean by that is all they want is for things to be just right.

It also gets me why people are so rude. Here's some common examples in my observations at work:

You say hello to the guests and how they are. They respond with silence or an indifferent "Hello" or "I'm fine...". I also especially love when they come in when I'm greeting and as soon as I ask how they are, they always say, "How long's the wait?" (and they also get into your personal space and look down on you like you're not a person).

I cannot understand is why the public can't have manners or respect for people anymore. I always smile and try to be polite to people even when they upset me. It's about staying professional. It pays off too. Someone one tried to accuse me of being rude once and some guests seated nearby told the manager the truth about what happened.

I see a lot of crap on here, why does the crap stay and the descent people get canned?
I count myself closer to crap than descent, yet I'm still here and the ones that really had a point and a brain in their head get done over.

I've seen many questions that seem to be 'addressed' (for lack of a better word) to "Religious People" only to find the question is pretty specifically Christian.
