Just the other day I saw a man homeless in London, he clearly had a disability, yet our government wants to spend money in weapons, nuclear technology, the same case and far worse happens in the US and other nuclear countries. Its utterly ridiculous, am I wrong?

In my middle school, we have a choice of German or Spanish. I chose Spanish because my mother's side of the family has a Hispanic background. I find Spanish easier to learn because there are more cognates. Which language did you have to take in school? Which do you think is easier, Spanish or German?

I am extremely greatful that this church is here, im not a member but i was interested in my family history and if they were not here i'd have gotten no where. I'm actually thinking of becoming a member but wondered why they were always judged and criticized.

Come on...you know which one I'm talking about:

1 Timothy 2:12
"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."

I mean, I guess they could ask questions, but shouldn't only Christian MEN be answering? After all, was it not Eve that was first deceived?

Everyone who studies the Bible has at least a few verses of which they're not sure of the meaning. What are yours? Maybe we can open a whole line of answers here....

Please dont tell me they are all equally important, I know they re all important and that if you break one you break them all, but I also think most people have their own 'rating' system on sin, this is a 'big' sin, that is a 'small' sin.

I'm just curious to see how people apply this to the Ten Commandments.

I was thinking about the conversion stories of Paul and Peter.

Peter: At the last supper Peter announces that he will never be offended by Jesus, Jesus predicts that Peter will deny Him 3 times before the rooster crows. Then Jesus says that He will pray for Peter that his faith will endure and that after he is converted he is to strengthen his fellow believers. The implication is that at this point Peter is not converted, then Jesus is arrested and Peter fillfuls prophecy and denies Christ and runs away. Next time we see Peter and Jesus together Jesus is telling Him to 'feed my sheep'.

It seems to me that Peter knew Christ but was not converted till he also 'knew' himself.

Paul has a dramatic conversion experiance on the road to Damascus, he already knows what he is capable of (held the coats at the stoning of Stephen) but he is not converted until he meets Christ.

So my premise is: To be converted a person needs to know themselves and Christ...

Any thoughts?

I've pretty much stopped posting here because it doesn't do any good. But I still vote on about 30 questions a day. When it comes to voting on Religion and Spirituality questions, I only get to do one at a time, because when I click on "show me another," the error page always comes up that says, "That question has been deleted."

Half is too many. And we all know who's doing it. It's the people who answer every question with "Jesus Saves," or "God is a myth," not even something clever like "Get an Afterlife."

Why aren't you guys using those "Block User" buttons and reporting every answer that doesn't address the question?

It's not just the askers who are affected. Everybody who answered the question loses their answer too.

I find myself hoping that there really is a God. And that's He has a special Hell reserved for people who think they have a Right to turn Y!A into their own, private playground.

...and you were able to chooce what you look like, would you change genders or stop the same?
I'm a straight guy but I prefer to be thought of as one of the girls so I'd probably decide to live as a girl for the rest of my life, that way I can be myself all the time without being so self conscious and I can wear whatever I want rather then being stuck wearing trousers all the time, I don't even really like trousers, I prefer skirts and dresses but I'm just too self conscious to wear those types of clothing in this body. I just prefer girls things rather boys things. I'd like to do cheerleading or sommat but I'm really self conscious when it comes to that.
So I'd rather be a girl dispite it having many downsides.
What gender would you live the rest of your life as if you had the choice though?

I'm tired of these emails from coworkers about these truthful facts from the bible. I'd like to know the laws on this kind of thing. I live in the NW panhandle of FL which is basically lower Alabama.
