Are they all 100% original material? Do they "borrow" from different sources? If they "borrow", do they always cite their sources, is there plagiarism going on, or can it just be assumed that sermons are a compilation of material? What is the protocol?

I quite often use LOL for laughing out loud on here but does it annoy you when people ask a whole question in text speak? I find that if it is quite a lengthy question and most of it is typed in this way I give up and dont bother reading!

Whats everyone elses views?

They don't really serve us or clean up after us. They just take our money and put something in a bag. By that standard we should tip people at 7-11 for ringing us up and putting our things in a bag. It's almost insulting that people want tips for everything these days.

If God Love's all his people as one and all most religions worship only one God, why wud God tell not to marry a non-christian if u are a christian and so the same with other religions?
dont you think this thing is a man made thing??or maybe just a custom [ culture ] of people?
Why would God prohibit such a thing?

People will not tolerate someone enters into lift with cigarette in hand. But people having more intense smell of perfumes on their dress fill the lift with pollution and never bother about that.

Neither we have standards for cosmetics or ethics and logic for the rules. A masala company will pollute the entire area with mirchi powder. Hotels have no exhaust systems. People burn anything on the roadside in the name of garbage.

Like goats, everybody is behind cigarette. All other pollutants are forgiven

What is the phenomena called when a person feels like she or he is leaving the body for a short or long moment? I'm not talking about near-death experience, or levitation but the feeling of mind/soul being separated from the physical body. Tell me all you know about it.

Christians: As I understand it, either there is a 2000 year old Jew cursed to wanted the Earth until Jesus's return, or the Bible says that Jesus was a liar. There don't seem to be any other choices.

So how do you reconcile that with your faith? Do you believe there's a 2000 year old wandering around that nobody's seen? Or that Jesus lied about returning? Or something else?

Or, were you unaware of the idea of the Wandering Jew and the role he performs in your religion?

Going by the fact that a lot of Christians don't want same-sex marriages to be called marriages simply because it allegedly "goes against God", do these people consider marriages between other people who "go against God" to not really be marriages?

For example - if two atheist or two Hindis get married, is that a marriage in your eyes or is it just a civil union?

As we have a Presidential Candidate who is a Mormon, many of us are trying to learn more about this faith. After watching this YouTube video and Reading this Web-sites Nutshell of the Doctrine, I must say it does sound a lot like a cult. I am especially disturbed by the racist tones noted in the video and would like to know if those hold true?

I realize that the Catholic faith with Transubstantiation, the Holy Trinity and the Pope may be odd.

The 72 virgins for the terrorists are certainly suspicious.

And on Kid Nations, one of the young boys mentioned that as a Hindu have hundreds of millions of Gods and Goddesses. I found this on the internet.

“Thus, Hindus have a multitude of gods and goddesses. Deities are represented by a complexity of images and idols symbolizing divine powers. Many of these idols are housed within ornate temples of unparalleled beauty and grandeur. Hindus also worship spirits, trees, animals and even planets. “

But I really have concerns about the racist tone on the YouTube video, so please let me know if this is accurate data. Thank you.

So, This is a challenge I'm wondering if people can do. All Christians out there, try this: See if you can fit the WHOLE Christian story, the creation, the sinning of Adam and Eve, Jesus's birth, Jesus's dealing with the people in the OT, and the resurrection in 200 words or LESS! It's not as easy as you think.... go ahead, try it.

Reading one of your questions today, it struck me that that faith and evidence are two very different things, yet, seemingly the *same* thing to some. I was amazed that someone believed much of world history to be 'a lie' because it went against their 'faith'.

Anyway, my main question is:

'Believers', would you prefer faith or evidence to be used in court? If you were innocent and in the dock for suspected murder, would you prefer to be judged:

1. A man of God, judging by his 'Faith' alone?

or

2. An atheist, whose judgement takes into account evidence using science, i.e. DNA, forensics etc?

A lady goes to her parish priest one day and tells him, "Father,
I have a problem. I have two female parrots but they only know
how to say one thing." "What do they say?" the priest inquired.
"They say, 'Hi, we're prostitutes. Do you want to have some
fun?" "That's obscene!" the priest exclaimed, "I can see why you
are embarrassed." He thought a minute and then said, "You know,
I may have a solution to this problem. I have two male parrots
whom I have taught to pray and read the Bible.

Bring your two parrots over to my house and we will put them in
the cage with Francis and Job. My parrots can teach your parrots
to praise and worship. I'm sure your parrots will stop saying
that...that phrase in no time." "Thank you," the woman
responded, "this may very well be the solution."

The next day, she brought her female parrots to the priest's
house. As he ushered her in, she saw this two male parrots were
inside their cage, holding rosary beads and praying.
Impressed, she walked over and placed her parrots in with them.
After just a couple of seconds, the female parrots exclaimed out
in unison, "Hi, we're prostitutes. Do you want to have some
fun?"

There was a stunned silence. Finally, one male parrot looked
over at the other male parrot and said, "Put the beads away,
Francis, our prayers have been answered!"
