If there is logic to a friendship it probably isn't a very good friendship.

I agree with 'The Reverand Soleil', but not entirely. It is in one way for Mutual Adavantage. But then again, there are friends who give themselves to you for no other reason than that you are their friend.

Some say, friendship is the only relationship that does not expect anything in return. Utter Rubbish! Every relationship expects something in return.

Friendship needs friendship to survive.

You have a friend because, you need a confidante. Someone to tell your secrets too. Someone to get advice from. Someone who would help you in a time of need. Someone to confide in.

Humans are creatures of affection and emotions without boundary. We need someone or something to Love or even Hate.

We need physical proximity from the moment of birth. Did you know a new born baby is born with the 3 basic emotions ; i.e Happiness, Sorrow and Dislike ( a basic form of Hate ). A new born baby will die if left without physical proximity. That is, when it does not experience a close encounter with a human, it does not necessarily have to be the parents.

I'll get back on track now. The main logic of friendship, is Mutual Advantage and Love and Admiration for the other party.
