My friend says she's been hearing the voice of a witch and his people in his coven for the last several months. They supposibly call her whore, slut, etc. I don't know wether she's lying or not. Is this possible, and if so how is it possible?

Would not the voice be female if it was a witch? Otherwise it would be wizards. As wizard is the word for a male practitioner of magic and also the collective term for males and females. A warlock is a specific type of wizard, it means wizard as warlock is of Gaelic origin, it can also be a malevolent wizard or an esteemed one. It has many meanings. Where exactly has she heard these voices? Has she ever seen anyone? It is possible that she heard a group of people, if they were talking about magic then that may be why she thought they were wizards.

David C; witchcraft is magic practiced by witches so why would wizards have anything to do with it? I spoke of magic.
Wizardry is magic practiced by wizards, both witchcraft and wizardry are part of magic. What I watch has nothing to do with it I know the meanings of the words I used. Check the etymology of the words.

She's either lying, or she needs to see a doctor. Hearing voices is loosing touch with reality and is called a psychotic break. This can be attributed to several things, all physical. She either needs therapy or meds either way though. If she's lying to get attentions he needs therapy. If she is truley hearing voices, she needs anti-psychotic medication so stop the delusions. This could be Schizotypal Personality Disorder or even Schizophrenia. Not that I am qualified to dx LOL. All Axis II in the DSM. All treatable.

If this continues you might want to let her family know. She could be suffering from Schizophrenia.

I think it's just your friends imagination. I personally don't believe in witches, just in ghosts.
It can be a paranormal activity. Maybe a spirit is trapped in this world and he is trying to communicate with your friend.

If your friend is a young child then yes, it's her imagination.
Witches never existed.

David C (above me) has the right answer: mental problem.

I'm not a psychologist, but seriously, that sounds exactly like what little I know about schitzophrenia. I would suggest this person go to a doctor for diagnosis, as it can become very destructive if untreated.

She's either lying, or she's delusional and needs help. It sounds to me like she's crying out for attention.
First, her claim sounds like something out of a bad B horror movie. A VERY bad B horror movie. That's not how real "witches" work. She doesn't know anything about real witches, or their religion, or how they work. They don't do things like get together and send "psychic" messages "calling" people, or calling them nasty names. They're not negative, mean people. That's just a ignorant cliche.

I guess anything is somewhat possible. I find this very doubtful though maybe she should go in for a phsyc evaluation. They can probably help stop the voices.

if the voices clearly feel like they are thoughts she should see a doctor. If not look around for any small speakers or people hiding around the area where she hears it. Most likely she's losing it though.

Unless she's deaf, she should be able to hear anyone's voice, if they are near enough.
How close is the coven?
