They call it the Hydroplate Theory. Despite what their Bible says about God opening the heavens and sending rain, they have created this drivel about there being pockets of water that God put in the earth that errupted into the sky, flooding the earth, during "Noah's Flood". Never mind that there is no evidence for this at all, nor is there enough water on the earth, even with the ice caps completely melted, to cover all the land.
It is sad & pitiable, that they want so badly for their superstitious nonsense to be true that they will invent lies to dispute observed reality.
If they want to believe Noah's flood then they are worshipping the wrong god. The story is of Babylonian man named Ut-napishtim, which predates the bible. So instead of Yahweh, they should worship the god Enki, who sent the flood in the original story.
Also, if the flood explains the extinction of the dinosaurs, then why did sea reptiles, too, go extinct at the same time? Salinity drop wouldn't matter.
