I am a Calvinistic Christian as most of you know. We adhere to the Scriptures as literal & true. Our common denominator is the Lord Jesus Christ. The last thing I want to do is cause a division in the body of Christ.....but I need to ask this:
Do you agree with the fundamental points of the acronym TULIP? I certainly do

T. Total Depravity: People are completely sinful and depraved and can do no good on their own
U. Unconditional election: Since people cannot choose for themselves, before the beginning of time, without any goodness on their part, God has chosen for Himself a select number of people to be counted as righteous.
L. Limited Atonement: The effects of God’s atonement on sinful humanity are limited only to those he has chosen
I. Irresistible Grace: The grace God extends to the chosen cannot be refused since it has been decreed by God.
P. Perseverance of the Saints: (Once saved always saved): Since God has decreed the salvation of the elect, it cannot be changed.

Me and this co-worker flirted a lot, but we never really got a chance to see where the flirting would take us. he was fired over the weekend and did not get to say goodbye. I only know his name and the kind of car he drives. I want to see him again, but I have no way of contacting him. How can I will him to contact me? He doesn't have my info either, but there are ways he could get his info to me if he needed or desired.

They call it the Hydroplate Theory. Despite what their Bible says about God opening the heavens and sending rain, they have created this drivel about there being pockets of water that God put in the earth that errupted into the sky, flooding the earth, during "Noah's Flood". Never mind that there is no evidence for this at all, nor is there enough water on the earth, even with the ice caps completely melted, to cover all the land.

It is sad & pitiable, that they want so badly for their superstitious nonsense to be true that they will invent lies to dispute observed reality.

If they want to believe Noah's flood then they are worshipping the wrong god. The story is of Babylonian man named Ut-napishtim, which predates the bible. So instead of Yahweh, they should worship the god Enki, who sent the flood in the original story.

Also, if the flood explains the extinction of the dinosaurs, then why did sea reptiles, too, go extinct at the same time? Salinity drop wouldn't matter.

I am a Muslim woman and I love Islam. I like to cover myself and be chaste. I think most non Muslim doesnt know the beauty of Islam. they r just being prejudiced and stereotyping Islam. Why not go to mosques and see the peace it will give you when you are in it? It is a religion with the highest number of converts in this century as it makes sense and gives u the truth if you really study it thoroughly. Please dont make propaganda about Islam. Learn it and dont be surprised that you will end up believing and discovering the truth of this universe and the Creator. Say He is God, the one and only, He begets not nor is he begotten and there is none like onto him.

Then why do you insist that we Go to heaven or Hell, and that when you die you will spend eternity there, when the Bible clearly states that you wont? You will spend it here on earth, Not in Heaven, and that is only after the resurection, till then you sleep. it will be a very long time before you even see heaven, if you ever do.

First of all we don't know that this man was never baptized in his entire life, he could have been baptized unto John's Baptism.

Second being baptized in Jesus name was necessary after the death of Jesus because the Lord died for us. We must now accept His death (through repentance), burial (full immersion in water baptism), reserrection (receiving the Holy Spirit, which is being born-again).

As he stood before the counsel and testified of Jesus, Peter declared, "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God has given to them that obey him" Acts 5:32

Then what difference does it make to be married at all? Why should we care of people get divorced? or polygamy? Why not just shack up?

Why would people want to fall in love, dedicate your whole life to one person, have children with that person, etc., only to be divorced at death, not be together for eternity, not even know each other? How can one go from deep and abiding love, to not caring at all, about someone?

"Gee, God, I really loved my man, he was my whole life, but I'm glad you tore us apart! Heaven is a much better place because we can't be with the ones we love!"

Just an innocent questions here, why do Christian/Catholic Bibles have the Old Testament? Its mostly about the Israelites and there policies/laws.

Only the law imputes sin: Romans 4:15; Romans 5:13.
Law imputed sin imputes death: 1Cor 15:56; Jam 1:15.
And it imputes death unto the legalistic IMPutors of sin:

By THY words, Matthew 12:37
THOU art either justified(graced) or condemned(lawed).

When THEY say Peace & Safety (in another law), then
no escape sudden destruction comes upon THEM: 1Th5:3

So then, perhaps sin IMPutors should stop lawing themselves to death, since law is not only the ministration of condemnation: 2Corinthians 3:9, but it's also the strength of sin's death sting: 1Corinthians 15:56; thereby "the ministration of death": 2Corinthians 3:7. For law imputed sin, when "it is finished", brings forth death(not life): James 1:15. Selah.

Every time I see a lolreligion question on these boards, it's mobbed by atheists with their thumbs ups and thumbs downs and their pithy comments and their "science."

If God was good enough for your parents, it's darn well good enough for you! I demand that you heed convention and bow to the invisible babysitter! You'd know the truth if only you'd open your heart to haysoos. (srsly)

You know what would be a good idea? Let's go across the country and replace all the encyclopedias with Bibles. All your measly "science" has is like, look at me I'm a theory disprove me with a better theory I'm not really that sweet anyway. But the Bible is all like, yo, I'm the Bible, I get a capital B, and I'm the truest, cuz my dad says I'm the truest, and he wrote me, and he's got invisible juice, and is the best dad ever, even after that whole send your son to his death thing.

Stop being such fanboys. Science is silly when you can get daps from the Lord.

A friend told me that when she visited a household in the US, she was astonished that when Bush came on the TV, the child of the house, aged about 6, promptly stood up and saluted!
She was told that American children are trained to regard the president as some kind of god-like figure, an object of respect and awe.
Question being, is this really the sort of thing that goes on over there? It sounds dangerously like indoctrination to me - like the way the German kids used to be taught to stand to salute Hitler. This kind of attitude is completely alien in the UK, where the only thing we are taught as kids in regard to our prime minister, whoever he be, tends to be a healthy disrespect and cynicism.
