Then why do you insist that we Go to heaven or Hell, and that when you die you will spend eternity there, when the Bible clearly states that you wont? You will spend it here on earth, Not in Heaven, and that is only after the resurection, till then you sleep. it will be a very long time before you even see heaven, if you ever do.

it states that satan will be in chains for a thousand years and we will rule the earth during that time in complete peace and harmony.

Why do you people question yourselves so much? If you fully understand who you are and what you believe into you will not argue with those who oppose you....If you fully understand who you really are and what really is "faith" for you then you will never dare question yourselves or others.

Greetings , The bible does say a new heaven and a new earth. But it means a new heaven and a new earth "age" That is to say that the 2nd earth age ends and a the third which is called the eternity begins. Same thing with heaven . A new heaven age starts. And the guy above is right ,sleep means the flesh body has died. Want scriptural proof of this. Get this. Some guy asked Christ who would enter into heaven first, those who sleep in the dust or the people who are transfigured into their spiritual body when Christ returns. Christ said that nowise could the transfigured people be in heaven before the dead. The reason? Christ said that is because they are already there. Scripture states regarding the soul. To be absent from the flesh body is to be present with the Lord. and when the flesh dies the soul goes instantly to the father who created it. When this flesh is dead it says that way , we will never use it again. You are right heaven is eventually here on earth. It is written that God will set up his kingdom on earth and dwell among us. As far as hell is concerned ,yes there will be a hell but it is not created yet. It is created just before the great white throne judgment. And at the judgement those that are not saved are throne into hell untill all are judged. Then hell and satan and all his followers are thrown into the lake of fire to burn eternally. Which only means that they will be gone forever. I will try to look up the scripture of sleeping in the dust thing and get back. I have sinned by having dial-up so don't wait up. Im back, the scripture is 1st timothy chap. 4 verse15. Also the word sleep (as in the dust ) is translated as Dead/ expired. Thanks for your patience.

Do not confuse sleep with death. Sleep is a metaphoe meaning death. Those who die now, spend their time in heaven biding that same time waiting until Christs' second coming. Then their bodies and spirit will be rejoined, except that it will not be their original body. Should a person decide to not believe Christ as being the Son of God and does not declare this, that person will then GO to Hell, for eternity. The only time he gets a respite is when Christs judges the living and the dead, see second coming after His victory.

Hi Cindy: You sound like a Jehovah's Witness. They are the only group that I know of that believes that we inherit the Earth. I am with a small independent church that is very similar to Assembly of God. I personally, however, do not disagree with you on this one point. I do not know why most of Christendom believes that our final destination is heaven when Rev 21:2 is very clear that New Jerusalem lands on Earth.
I think that we may be in disagreement about hell, though. Rev 20:15 is very clear that anyone who is not in the book goes to hell.
Fireball is partly right. Most of the time the word "hell is translated from the Greek word "hades" or Hebrew "sheol" which do mean the grave, but where it is translated from the Greek word "gehenna" that is the lake of fire referred to in Rev 20:15.

Hi Cindy,
Very sensitive subject to some people I see.
Like you said, I too believe that after Armageddon, when we are resurrected and given the chance to live life everlastingly, that we will be here on earth. After studying the bible, I know that the only ones going to Heaven are the 144,000 preselected by God Himself that will return back down to earth to become priests and judges under Jesus (they will be like the new government that governs over us) the rest of us will be living here on earth. Hell, is respectively a mistranslation for Sheol or Hades back in the dark ages. Sheol and hades mean grave. For those that choose not to follow God after the 1000 years, will be destroyed in the lake of fire, which is a symbolism of total destruction, where those people will cease to exist forever along with Satan. **I do not belong to a religion, I follow God and Christ through acquiring accurate knowledge of Truth through God's Word the Bible.**

Everybody has their own interpretation of what they read in the Bible. I do, as well as you, and everybody who answers this question. I think you should re-read Revelations. I apologize to you for kinda sounding like a know-it-all (which I am not), but if I'm not mistaken, the righteous will be in Heaven during the millennium, not on Earth. The Earth will be inhabited by Satan, walking amongst the dead.
Again, we all have our interpretations.
God bless

Oh, yeah! I remember now, CJ. The Bible says "Cindy, I rejecteth your babble". Gimme a break...lol.
Cindy, the Bible is a man-made book. I've said it before to other people, no one knows what God ultimately thinks, wants or even believes. There is just too much interpretation (and ego, from what I have seen at yahoo answers).

God says He is making all things new.
Beginning with His people.
Why limit Him to this planet? How do you know that there isn't more to Heaven and Earth than you could possibly ever know?
Remember, whatever it is that might be in store for God's people, it is beyond even our most fertile imaginations.
