I'm tired of these emails from coworkers about these truthful facts from the bible. I'd like to know the laws on this kind of thing. I live in the NW panhandle of FL which is basically lower Alabama.

I'm not one to start nonsense between us when there's enough division as is. I just wanted to know the laws.

All states have employment laws that are available in written and CD format. These will update you on what is legal in the workplace in your State. However, in many States this can be construed as solicitation and if it is done during work hours it is against most company policies. If it is done during break periods there isn't a lot you can do...but as they are emails I would assume they are doing this during work. You may have a harrassment claim especially if the views they are sending you are contrary to your own and they know this. The first thing to do is to read your handbook's computer use and harrassment policies then take this up with your supervisor. Do this in person and in writing and copy the companies HR department. Keep detailed records of all your correspondence keeping hard copies of any letters or emails. This will help if things get worse after you make your concerns known.

It's form of harassment in the Work-Place as well as mis-guided Evangelistic fervor!

But it can be stopped by a simple visit to your Human Resources manager and ask her/him to show you where in Company policy that sort of thing is permitted or prohibited?

If it is not in the Co. Policy i.e like a Dress Code than make it so, and Case closed.

If it's from your co-workers, that cannot be religious discrimination in work places.

Religious discrimination in your work place means that you are denied certain rights you are legally entitled to because of YOUR religion. That has to do with employer and employees, not among employees.

The problem is; you work in the wrong state. In California, most of my emails are mocking religion.
