"i want to avoid it" is the problem. Wanting is desire, which is a driving motivational force. Avoidance is not accepting things as they are. Repression or suppression is not control.
If you learned how to meditate from a master, return and recieve additional instructions. If this is just something you have picked up from a book, then you might not have picked up everything you needed.
The key to control of any internal motivation (but especially one which causes one to lose balance) is first to acknowledge the force. Then accept this as your own. It is not something forced upon you from your environment. Only then can you learn how to express it.
The expression does not have to be sexual in nature. It does have to be honest and open. Painters and Poets often use this to their advantage. Since this is a creative force, you must find creative means to express it. If you do not, it will slowly control you.

There are two great 'primary' programs with which these monkey suits that we wear are equipped, and both are managed by that much-maligned worker-bee we call 'Ego'.
The first is personal survival, the will to stay alive, physically manifest that is, and without this far too many would succumb to the pressures of life here way before their objectives in entering the physical had been accomplished.
The second is continuance of the species, without which the process by which we are able to trigger the manifestation of physical bodies would break down, and eventually cease altogether. This is called the 'sex-drive'.
It is odd, but true, that when the possibility of personal survival seems to have been completely negated, humans, unlike most other species, will often turn their last thoughts to procreation ! There are many examples, but one of the most well documented, mostly because in situations like this there is rarely the opportunity to independently observe, is the case of the German High Command in Berlin, in April/May 1945.
The Russians were storming into the city doing the most frightful things, destroying everything in their path, treating the people like .... well, frankly, you don't want to know how they were treating the people, after Stalingrad and Leningrad, the Russians had no compassion left for Germany or it's people, revenge was the only thing on their minds. The upper echelon Germans knew exactly what was happening, and most made preparations to take their own lives before the Russians could get their hands on them. The middle ranking staff were not so lucky, and what were they doing as the Red Army rampaged down the Unter den Linden ? They were having sex ! Anywhere and everywhere, with anyone who was available !
This is the power of the sex drive, even personal survival surrenders to it in extremis, and the last efforts before certain extermination are the attempts to preserve the the species.
Thus, my friend, why would you want to deny this most powerful force ? Why would you 'avoid' it ?
Like all things in this dense, heavy realm, it is there to be dealt with, to be faced and gone through. Especially now, in this new pattern of the energy grids that make up the framework of this 'place', now more than ever, it is time to learn to absorb these intense energies and put them to use, to actively start creating your entire world anew, with Deliberate Intent.
The days of the renunciate are over.
The days of living 'carelessly' are over.
Now is the time that we have all worked so hard for, the time has arrived to use all our 'creative powers' to manifest the world we desire. The powerful energies of the sex drive are an integral and necessary part of this.
Follow those thoughts as they arise, as any that arise in meditation, and see where they lead you, this is all 'new territory', so explore !
And above all, have fun ! :-)))

Sexual energy is useful, once you learn to control it. Not repress it, but CONTROL it, use it to open your chakras. Focus on an appropriate goddess image (or god, as you prefer) and pass that energy through the goddess/god and back to yourself. You get a full-circle circulation going, you will find it works rather like a purifying river, flowing through you to bring freshness and energy.
I agree with the Christians who say this won't work for a Christian. Your only option is to switch to prayer, since your religion does not approve of sex unless you are married.

I sopose if you really want to there are meditative techniques to do so I would sugest that you resurch celibacy and meditation together. but since i am more about harnicing then avoiding sexual energy I cant give you anything more then that to go on.

You waste your time concentrating more on sex than focusing your mind. Focus requires unified thought. Those who have multiple Gods can not do meditation. They are not really focussed in their ideology. That is the reason for all failures.

Let there be no confusion. the primary aim of meditation is spiritual evolution. Not surprisingly, such a lofty goal appeals only to the rare few.
To get the real benfit of meditation, you must follow YAMAS (reining in or control )and NIYAMAS (unleashing) in your daily life.
The ten Yamas are:
1) ahimsa, "noninjury," not harming others by thought, word or deed;
2) satya, "truthfulness," refraining from lying and betraying promises;
3) asteya, "nonstealing," neither stealing nor coveting nor entering into debt;
4) brahmacharya, "divine conduct," controlling lust by remaining celibate when single, leading to faithfulness in marriage;
5) kshama, "patience," restraining intolerance with people and impatience with circumstances;
6) dhriti, "steadfastness," overcoming nonperseverance, fear, indecision, inconstancy and changeableness;
7) daya, "compassion," conquering callous, cruel and insensitive feelings toward all beings;
8) arjava, "honesty, straightforwardness," renouncing deception and wrongdoing;
9) mitahara, "moderate appetite," neither eating too much nor consuming meat, fish, fowl or eggs;
10) shaucha, "purity," avoiding impurity in body, mind and speech.
The ten Niyamas are:
1) hri, "remorse," being modest and showing shame for misdeeds;
2) santosha, "contentment," seeking joy and serenity in life;
3) dana, "giving," tithing and giving generously without thought of reward;
4) astikya, "faith," believing firmly in God, Gods, guru and the path to enlightenment;
5) Ishvarapujana, "worship of the Lord," the cultivation of devotion through daily worship and meditation;
6) siddhanta shravana, "scriptural listening," studying the teachings and listening to the wise of one's lineage;
7) mati, "cognition," developing a spiritual will and intellect with the guru's guidance;
8) vrata, "sacred vows," fulfilling religious vows, rules and observances faithfully;
9) japa, "recitation," chanting mantras daily;
10) tapas, "austerity," performing sadhana, penance, tapas and sacrifice.
In Hindu tradition, we follow these Yamas and Niyamas in our daily life which govern our action.

For me, I had to go against my natural desires but I discovered how to compensate physical nurturing with spiritual nurturing. Being a Scorpio, it wasn't easy but I truly am free to be more than this 'shell' encompasses. I have no more Needs; all is provided.

Engage yourself deep in meditation so that all thoughts vanish .Do not focus to curb the tendency,but attach to divine melody within.

Hmm... You're not telling if you're buddhist, christian or what. This matters greatly, as meditation is a psychological tool only. If you're buddhist you need to accept it before you can control it.
If you're christian - it wont work for you, due to your religions opinions.
