can we possibly have foreknowledge of our future?

But remember all people have a prexistant ego, one that eminates selfishness and the struggle for fame, riches, and power which is typical of non-athenticated power. The multisensory perception personality is the only thing that wins over human ego of self.

I can understand the idealist bent on your question and it is appreciated. However, at least in North American culture, responsibility and accountability have gone out the window. I think if a society is to move forward it has to be able to acknowledge its shortcomings.

North America is rampant with irresponsibility and lack of accountability almost everywhere. If the buck can be passed or someone else blamed, or the victim mentality instituted, it will be. Medications and "syndromes" paint the landscape to correct or explain behaviors. No one, apparently, is moving forward.

For humanity as a whole it is too fragmented to have unification and subsequently a foreknowledge of our future. You have religions pitted against one another, governments in disagreement and so forth. In many historical theaters advancement was made by area or a will of the people. I am not sure this same zeal is around anymore. However I will say there are a few places humanity can come to an agreement on, at least in an ideal sense:

1. The environment and climate change.
2. Energy needs and consumption.
3. Space exploration.

Concerning foreknowledge of the future, there is still much work to do before we even remove ourselves from adolescence.

Why can't we evolve civilization in the direction that we want it to go? Were people united in thought, purpose, and action, it would be achievable. I suggest we base the process on the concept of the fundamental oneness of humanity. Mind by mind, heart by heart, we can build the momentum and power.

I wouldn't hold your breath for any mass enlightenment. Our mass ignorance will lead us down the path to destruction before the responsible and accountable have a chance to sway the mindset of the masses of asses.

No. But we can prepare rather than sitting back hoping for a sky fairy to cleanse us all.
