I've pretty much stopped posting here because it doesn't do any good. But I still vote on about 30 questions a day. When it comes to voting on Religion and Spirituality questions, I only get to do one at a time, because when I click on "show me another," the error page always comes up that says, "That question has been deleted."
Half is too many. And we all know who's doing it. It's the people who answer every question with "Jesus Saves," or "God is a myth," not even something clever like "Get an Afterlife."
Why aren't you guys using those "Block User" buttons and reporting every answer that doesn't address the question?
It's not just the askers who are affected. Everybody who answered the question loses their answer too.
I find myself hoping that there really is a God. And that's He has a special Hell reserved for people who think they have a Right to turn Y!A into their own, private playground.

I've only anecdotal evidence, Diane M, but I've found that blocking known or suspected reportitrolls works wonders when it comes to protecting my own Q's and A's.
And I'm not the first person to observe that it's those who have nothing to contribute who get the biggest charge out of spoiling and destoying.

That was a good call, Kimberly. But that can't account for HALF the questions posted on R&S.

A lot of truth there, fierce beard. But there are sections in Y!A where people can tolerate truths other than the one they believe in. Sometimes, they even listen.

Are you saying that God is pro-reportitroll, Karsan?

Who knows Steve. I star the question I give thumb's up to all the answerer's, and still someone messes with me.
I do believe whoever does the downs and reports are jealous that some of us are very clever indeed. They can't be worthy of us so become childish in response.

Have no clue alls I know is I have reported only one question but that is because it was asking bout his hair cut and when i clicked on the picture to say yes or no it was a private part... very graphic and then all I could think about is my kids getting on and seeing it. Most of the time they are with me and participating in the answering questions. They are still a bit young would like to keep their innocence a little longer. Love body parts but not when I dont know you and not with my kids sitting by me.

I haven't had a single Violation on anyh of my questions OR Answers in more than two months (knock on wood). Yes, an occasional question that I have answered gets deleted, and it aggravates me somewhat. But, in the long run, I try not to let these things get to me. Life's TOO short to let what happens on a web site disrupt my life. I try to answer questions to the best of my ability, If I find that I can't answer one, I just move on. I don't play the points game and am in NO hurry to make the next level. If I get a Best Anwer, fine, if not, that's fine too. I just know that I gave it my best shot.

Until Yahoo does something about it all voices here provide value. Even if it is a base or sarcastic, stupid or completely senseless response, the forum allows for this. Much can be gained from such responses because it allows the discerning individual to gain the perspective needed on all kinds of questions (and answers).
Your frustration is legitimate but you should not stop posting if what you have to say is still valuable. Perhaps a small break is due to reorient yourself. You are still welcome any time.

I'm sorry, but I'm really curious. How on Earth do you know who's doing it? I would love to see some kind of supporting argument or evidence.
Edit: Anecdotal evidence is acceptable, if not (as you're obviously aware) proof, and I apologize for thinking that your bias was showing there.

There's far too much reporting going on as it is. And Christians and atheists are not the only ones doing it.

the answer to the question is
"never" this is an ever-going process and the old-one doing things
like this will over a period of time bound to raise them-selves
(whether they wish or not... and even un-knowingly)
will change and the new one are to occupy their places and on and on..
one more thing... when you know
"that there really is a GOD" then
you must also know that there is no happening with-out HIS will and wish...
so what one can do is to act as per his/her role assigned by HIM..
believe you me, and
resume your-self on RS as previously...
thanks,
with regards,

Oh you get twits everywhere. Wether its' here, in a club or on the sporting field.
Gotta admit I've had a "thumbs down" stalker & one who's abused me via private e-mail - but it's their problem not mine.
I just keep on thinking they dont' speak for the majority of their faith. & uncleanch my teeth.
