I bought a house an elderly woman had lived in. When her family sold the house to me and moved her she jumped off her balcony and killed herself. When my children were little I heard her go down the hallway every night and into their rooms. I could sometimes smell lavendar after she was walking around. I assumed she was just "checking on the kids", as she had raised hers in the house. When they became teenagers she left us.

The day my uncle died (ALS he commited suicide) I was driving in my car with the kids and this wind came down and circled the car, all these leaves were swirling around us.

The kids were wide eyed and asking what was going on - I said I believe Uncle Wilf has just left us and is on his way to heaven and is telling us he is on his way and is feelling real good about it.

The sun broke through the clouds, it was actually kind of ethereal. I looked at the time, 12 noon. Later I found out he had died at that time.

I had a very dear sweet friend who died of pneumonia. When my son was 5 he came to me and woke me up and said "take N- to the hospital now"

I went back to sleep and he woke me up again and said "get up take N to the hospital"

I checked on my son, he hasnt been feeling well, I thought he had a cold, he seemed the same, the third time Jeff woke me up "take him NOW" I got up, got dressed, woke up my son, went to ER in a daze - half asleep.

The doctor asked me why I had brought him in and I said "I dont know somethings wrong". I didnt remember Jeff waking me up .

The doctor listened to his chest, decided to do xrays, came and told me had pneumonia and it was bad and he had to be admitted.

He said "good thing you brought him in, he would have been in big trouble if you had waited. What made you bring in him?" I said "I dont know"

I was so tired from being up with my son for several nights, I couldnt even think - but later that day I did remember Jeff waking me up over and over until I listened to him.

I have had a few, I have been in houses where I can tell instantly someone has died there. Most of these encounters are very positive - not scary at all. These spirits are watching over us, taking care of us. If you are sensitive to them they will communicate with you if they can, or if they need to. IMO

I never even had senate or parliament with a ghost. But I may have seen one on a woman's balcony years ago, and it was someone I never knew existed. I looked up, saw him, and then he vanished. Turned out to be a former friend of this woman's who died of HIV. Looked just like him, and he had been in her home many times before they stopped being friends. True story. It only happened once, and it didn't scare me, because I assumed he was alive. But he disappeared off her balcony, and it was far above a concrete pavement. So that was impossible. Oh and once a book fell off a counter and landed out in the middle of the floor. No cat, and no earthquake. Both of these incidents occured at times when there was a lot of turbulence going on in my life. So whatever.

Boy what he did can still give me shivers. Everyone who came to visit had a different incounter with him, we lived in the house for 6 months and doubled our money, told the new owners they could have the ghost as a bonus. haunted

I see the ghost of my wife almost daily. The curtains look like the wind is blowing them to the inside of the bedroom. Ever so often I see her image in the closet or the bathroom. I even saw her face in the bed, twice! Some things take awhile to get over, I guess.

My X and I bought a house that was owned by an electrician. Him and his wife had a little boy named Johnny. Little Johnny's hand prints are in the cement by the garage. They sold the house because Little Johnny had died and they got a divorce.

After we moved in, the lights would go on and off all by themselves. We could also feel a slight draft or presence surrounding us. Instead of freaking out, our 4-13 year old son, we just made a joke that it was the ghost of Little Johnny Waverling. It wasn't scary. We sort of looked forward to him dropping in to play with the light switches.

And that's just one of my ghost stories.

The old cabin I lived in on the mountain had a presence during the winter months, the owner died there about 15 years prior to me moving in and it had sat empty all that time. He would flicker the little lamp in the living area and cause the fire to flare at times and then I would hear a moan late in the night.

I've had many paranormal experiences in my old house.

Experiences ranging from, seeing shadows, smelling things like perfume, cologne, sometimes food, heard noises such as footsteps, small whispers.

The light in the basement would sometimes turn on by itself, as well as the light in the bathroom.

Quite a creepy house it was, I don't think I'll ever go back there.
