We are going to a Halloween Costume party and I went out with my girlfriends to pick out costumes and now I have serious regrets. The costume is way to sexy, I have NEVER worn anything like it in my life....

Its the Kandy Korn Witch Costume by Leg Avenue. I am 34 years old, I am a married mother of 2, ....I am a fit and in shape person, I am actually very proud of my body but I don't show it off. I went shopping with all of my friends that will be at the party and I let them pressure me into wearing sort of the same thing that they would be wearing. I guess since I am the oldest I feel a little weird like maybe I should be more matronly. My kids thought I looked cute and they were happy that I wasn't going as a nerd as I had originally planned on doing. My husband just wanted to get me in bed...that didn't help.

That is a really cute costume! I really like the idea of a Kandy Korn Sexy Witch! I say go for it! The whole purpose of Halloween is to dress up for one day in a costume and be someone else for a change. Halloween is about celebrating, having fun and it's a holiday for all ages. You may feel a little uncomfortable but it's just for one day. I really like that costume. Rock it!

I can't see the pic (work blocks it because it was "provocative attire" lol doesn't make you feel any better.. But I can offer you this general advise from a single 30yr old. It is always ok to show one sexy thing at a time (legs, boobage, midrif) but only one of those 3. If you show more you can come across witht he wrong image of who you are (unless that's he kind of girl you are.). So if you wear an ultra mini dress costume- cool, just make sure your boobs are not hanging out and you show no tummy. And vise versa, tight pants with crop top ok if you keep the twins in check and cover some leg skin. Independant of everone you should feel comfortable in it, but do ask yourself if you met someone wearing it at that party what would you think? It is halloween and thus you get to sexy it up more than normal, but make sure you respect yourself, at the end of the night you have to feel good about yourself independent of others thoughts.

Have you thought about a garage sale or possible a second hand store that sells things on consignment. You would be amazed at the things people will buy at a garage sale. You can name your price and if you have to dicker, that's alright, too. It is a lot of hard work and you may want to enlist your friends to help in exchange for a costume of their choice. Just a thought. We live in an apartment and have no place to do anything like that. But, it could be a lot of fun and profitable, too.

I think how comfortable you feel should be the most important not what everyone else thinks. But I think it's a super cute costume and if I had the body for it I would do it. I'm 30 and pregnant so I think I'm going to be box for halloween.
But there will be a time you wont be able to pull it off and Halloween is all about dressing up in something you wouldn't normally wear.
If you decide not to wear it for halloween you always have something to put on for extra fun for your hubby :> Ask him to be your broom * Insert witch cackle here*
Also you can make all those twenty year olds jealous and help give us girls a little older a good name. Do it for your fellow women!

I also think the costume is great. YOU have to be comfortable with how you look. It would be horrible to spend the evening pulling at the costume because you think it's too revealing. Even if your friends and husband think you look hot, YOU must like it.
With regard to the appropriate level of sexy at 34...frankly, I think adults should be the only ones wearing costumes like that. It's totally appropriate. You're a grown woman - you're married - and you have kids. You can handle the responsibility that comes with wearing a "sexy" outfit. I wish young women would give as much thought to their clothing before they left the house.
If you're comfortable, wear it - or switch out the skirt. Either way, enjoy!

Go for it! You've got nothing to lose, and too old? Pah, no such thing my friend, you're never too old.
Enjoy yourself and the fact your husband wanted to get you in bed says it all :)
