A sister answered me that
"you might be reading through their publications quickly,,but,,your words alone show that you have no understanding what so ever about what you are reading,,
if your attention span is that low,,then why don't you spend less time believing that your better and smarter than everyone else and more time in field service,,
and lastly,,if you believe you have found the truth,,then why are you on here asking non-believers,,for your issues?
if your dad were a decent elder he wouldn't be fueling an obiviously confused lil girl's need for attention by telling you, you know more than one of God's appointed spiritual leaders,"
Anyway I'm really sorry I shouldn't have asked here. I'm just stupid and can't understand the publications after all. I was thinking that maybe I could be a college professor because I like to read so much and I could learn all the time and teach people but I guess I'm too stupid and arrogant. I guess I just don't belong anywhere.

It would seem the questioner has quite the dry wit. Honestly, thank you for sharing this humorous side (especially directed at someone else).
Ironically, others (or at least one) had inferred that the father of the questioner seems to be a good Christian elder, and an understanding father.
Neither the early Christian congregation nor Jehovah's Witnesses pretends that its elders are "all-knowing", and in fact that is not one of the qualifications for overseer that are listed in the Scriptures. Few (if any) Witnesses would dispute that there are untold numbers of experienced women among Jehovah's Witnesses who know as much or more than a typical congregation elder.
It seems best to move past that matter.
Perhaps the greatest obstacle to a career in academia is its notion that nothing is sacred, that there are no indisputable truths. Admittedly, some fields of study are less esoteric than others, and it is generally these fields of practical application that are of interest to persons who anticipate living on and improving the earth for an eternity.
The mark of a truly humble person is that they are able to extract kernels of wisdom despite their source. It would seem that the self-described "sister" was quoted with many opinionated ideas which the questioner can safely ignore, but that "sister" did make one sobering suggestion.
The questioner should perhaps spend more time in the field service, that is, in the formal ministry of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Along with prayer and bible reading, this can help any person to endure difficulties and discouragements while working to improve his personality and attractiveness to God and Christ. What higher goal could any human have than to please the Almighty Sovereign and his designated King of Kings?

Oh Jane. You will find that many Jehovah's Witnesses here on yahoo answers are very mean, judgmental, and critical. Not to mention wrong. You are in fact much SMARTER than they are because you are having problems making sense of the JW's beliefs and doctrines. You should be because they are totally off base and false. They are often not following the bible as it should be followed. There are things in the bible that the JW's take out of context and quote deceptively to support their false doctrines. Even two of my three sisters have run into problems with it, claiming that the JW's have it wrong. Blindly accepting and pushing aside your own common sense doesn't make JW's right.
Their publications are written and directed by the Governing Body, a group of men that are not bible scholars or even well educated. I'm pretty sure they haven't even attended college. You should ask your parents about the qualifications of the people that write the JW's literature. What degrees do they have? What biblical background do they have? What makes them know more than any other religion?
Continue to question and continue to learn. Go to school and read your school books, science, culture/social studies, and English. You will in English class eventually if not already have to do research papers. Notice that all research papers have to have multiple sources in order to get accurate points and facts. Notice that the JW's insist on using only their publications and not learning from other sources. This is a good way of keeping members ignorant of the truth.
I can't stress enough how you should never blindly believe in something just because someone else says you should.

Your question isn't arrogant or stupid. God is God. Religion is spoke in my different languages. Humans also have their opinions on whats right. Kind of like a kids seeing their parents abuses drug or alcohol's. They might hate these things. When someone its else joy. I think some people just have anger issues that come out when their intoxicated that just means their in a love hate relationship its not the substance. Maybe they should move on. The other effect is finical down fall with habits. Some people hide it better better than others because of money. Joy is joy some people like food. Some people like nice things. Some people joy is helping someone else!

I was reading some of that person's answers, and she answered a question to a woman who is having problems with her husband or bf, who is a "Sagitarious."
Here is what she wrote:
"maybe he's with someone else now?~?~? I'm married to a sagg,,their very attentive judging from my husband,,he pursued me like i was the last woman on the planet,,
i think he just doesn't trust you anymore,,my husband cuts off people,,once he has given them multiple chances....i mean like he starts to distance himself almost completely,,"

Well, is not the signs of the Zodiac pagan? Should JWs be involved with talking about such pagan topics?
Maybe this person who commented on your post, should take the rafter out of her own eye, before she plucks straws from others. Then, as Jesus said, she will "see clearly."
Something she obviously cannot do now.

i don't belong anywhere either. The jw my age think I'm bad association, yet they do worse things than me. They say i don't go out on field service enough, but at least when i go i do it wholeheartedly, or it feels like it. And i have a best friend in another congregation, and I'm deceiving her because i don't want to loose her. Now i just do my own thing, away from the jw's. I haven't revealed myself openly, but as soon as I'm in a serious relationship they will know why i never chased after the brothers.

Dear Jane,
You have absolutely nothing to be sorry about. I answered your first question and didn't find anything arrogant about it.
You are NOT stupid.
You are young.
You are precious in God's sight!!!
You have dreams.
Your dreams are good dreams.
How does Professor Jane sound to you?
I too have a love of reading.
I have so many books and not enough time to read them.
But the very BEST book is God's Word and I read that from cover-to-cover each year.
I finished reading C.S. Lewis' book Till We Have Faces earlier this week and am currently reading John Bunyan's Grace Abounding for the second time. After I finish reading it I'm not sure whether I'll read Grand Weaver by Ravi Zacharias or Holiness by J.C. Ryle or When God Whispers Your Name by Max Lucado. I'm also anxious to re-read The Narnia Chronicles again soon.
What do you like to read?
Please remember that God does not make junk. He has a purpose for your life.
For His glory,
JOYfilled

You are not in the wrong for wanting to ask a question here... don't let yourself be bullied into believing it is wrong to ask around and think outside the box. What that person said was pretty rude in my opinion. Everyone has the right to discover their spiritual path in their own way... and those who try to get in the way of finding that spiritual path are doing you no good.
I used to be a Mormon, and I was having doubts about my religion... I started reading about traditional Christianity, Islam and Wicca, just to see what other spiritual paths there where... also because I was fascinated by religion... anyway, I told a fellow church member that I was reading up on other religions (not even that i was thinking about changing religions) and they said "thats no good! you shouldn't be reading things that sway you away from the truth" what that person said is a very dangerous way of thinking.
Same thing could be said for your situation. Having a religion is great and all but you need to have individualism. Don't become just another part of the system. Ask non JWs questions. Ask non religious people questions for that matter. Build upon your spiritualism by playing by your own rules not the rules of your elders. Because when it all boils down to it... what you do in your life is between you and God, and not between you and the Watchtower.
Hope this answer helps. ^_^

I don't know who this "sister" is but she better watch her mouth because her God is listening to her. Don't feel bad honey she is pathetic and rude to talk to anyone like that, let alone a young lady like yourself who seems to be just curious and wants to learn...You go be a College Professor, and teach your class to have class...something she obviously don't have...Your not stupid...she is...I am of no religion and it's because of people like that...Someday you will laugh at her or pity her...She should be teaching you, not insulting you...Never be afraid to ask a question as there is no stupid questions...Just stupid answers...Chin up we are all beautiful. And you have the right to believe whatever you want.

Ever speak to another sister,
Especially a little sister, in That Manner?

I keep Witnesses in my 'answers network' & she isn't in it.
Now, granted she could be new here @ Y/A's.
But, I don't feel / think / or believe she is a Witness.
Aaallloot of ppl hate us, u know this.
And here @ Y/A's a person can & they do say anything.
ur sister in the faith,
Bambi
p.s. I do not recommend u speak to Schneb;
he really Doesn't Like Witnesses At All!!
I'll put u in my contacts, & u can use my lists.
To find your real brothers & sister's here @ Y/A's.
And those that hate us & or the Watchtower Society.
Or just rude & beligerent ppl., w/ No respect for Jehovah.

You have every right to ask a question anywhere where you feel you might find help. Don't close your mind to truth no matter what anyone else may say.
Never stop learning and never accept Kingdom Hall truth as the only truth. Your thirst for knowledge came from God and you should never stifle it because any group tells you that you should. Consider what I am saying carefully. You may miss knowledge that could free you from the dictates of your group and lead you to a walk with God that is wonderful and isn't binding you and making you feel guilty. "NO MAN HAS ALL THE KNOWLEDGE ON ANY SUBJECT AT ANY TIME!"
