Our 20 month old son made his first bid for freedom last night by climbing out of his cot. We must have put him back in about 30 times before he finally fell asleep exhausted at 11pm.

We lowered the side with the thinking if he's going to get out he will so we may as well make it a bit safer for him.

Is it time to go for a proper bed?

He will just climb out of it all the time - I'm dreading it!

My son was a full term baby and weighed 8lb, 9oz when born. However, when he was 3 weeks old he stopped nursing and had to be admitted to the hospital for 8 days. He hasn't eaten the same since then. He is a healthy, active boy and very smart. His 4th birthday was on June 24th and he weighs 29 pounds and is 3.5 feet tall. I give him several small meals/day and he drinks homogenized (3% fat) milk. We've had him to 2 pediatricians and a dietician, not much help. I feel as if they are scrutinizing me, as if i am withholding food from my child which I would never do. His big sister is 7 and weighs 45 pounds and is 4.5 feet tall. I am 5 feet 6 inches and weigh 180 lbs, my husband is 6 feet tall and weighs about 220 pounds. I'm open for suggestions, also, is there anyone else out there having the same problem and came through it?

I started watching this boy whos 3half. Hes gorgous little kid. Bright extremely funny always has a smile on his face.My daughter likes him i like him my husband likes him. His mother had lost custody of him because she sells crack. I think shes back into her old ways because she leaves him over night with me and doesnt call and check on him. He never wants to leave us. He always talks about his mommy going back to jail. When he comes over he just clings to me and its soo hard cause im already soo attached to him already. I want the best for him. I've bought some gifts and clothes for him. My husband however says im too attached and that he doesnt like how he openly talks about his mommy going to jail in front of our 4 half year old daughter. I cant help be attached to this little innocent boy. Thats why i dont say anything and keep him as much as possible. My husband says im waving what our daughter has and we have infront of his face and that he doesnt have that. Its very frusteratin

I'm really trying to start up a daycare and can use some helpful advice from someone who may have there own business or from someone who has children in daycare. What are the things that stand out the most in your child's daycare that make you feel safe enough to allow your child attend? What is the charge for weekly for your child's daycare and what are the things that you like the most about the facility? Does anyone have any horror stories about a daycare where you may have worked or where someone has mistakenly enrolled a child into?

They are used but in good condition. Mostly size 4, but few pair are size 5 and 6. Brands include 2 pair of Jordans, 2 pair Reebok, 1 pair Tommy, 1 pair Naturino, 1pair Rachel Sandals. The rest are dress shoes and sandals. Think they will sell?

Some days he will eat good a supper but for the most part he just plays. He is also very picky about what he eats. When he was a baby I let him try everything in hopes that he wouldn't be a picky eater. He loves peas, carrots and corn but I don't want to feed him that everynight. Any ideas on how to get him to eat better.

My son just randomly had 2 black eyes appear. They arent real dark, kind of a reddish purple underneath both eyes. Theres no swelling, he says it doesnt hurt, and he didnt hurt himself. When i asked him what happened he said he itched his eye. Could that be from some kind of allergy? Anyone ever heard of that before? Should i be concerned? Theres an after hours clinic down the road open for another hour and a half, i was thinking of taking him there, but it seems kinda silly to me....just wondering any other parents opinions. And please spare me the call his dr lecture...if i was convinced it was something serious, i wouldnt be sitting here right now, just trying to see if this has happened to anyone before, or theyd heard of anything like this. Thanks!

Recently I notice my 3 year old son keeps shrugging his shoulders while he is working, when he does this he also shakes his hands a bit. Another thing he does he has this phrase "little heaven" when he says this he grits his teeth, and tenseses his body (by the way I dont know what "little heaven" means) I am not so concerned about the second part of this question as much as the first. I know when kids are small and they cannot fully express themselves they ie if they are upset excited angry they may act that way. But whats up with him shrugging his shoulders. Thanks guys

My 17 month old son has been going through this fase of screaming at the top of his lungs in a high picht scream. He does it so much that he makes himself choke. Now we have done EVERYTHING to make sure we have taken care of what ever MIGHT be causing him to scream. Then we do a little tap on the mouth, then a tap on the tushy. All the time telling him no its not what we do here. Ok im at the melting point now. I can not take much more of him doing this. We have tried so much with him and nothing works. Ive even let him scream till he fell asleep and he still does it. I know its a fase and when he can finally talk it will stop. But, what do I do untill then. I am going to loose my mind and my hearing.

Im having a problem with my 3 year old son. He pees in the toilet with no problem. He tells me when he has to go and rarely has an accident. Going number 2 is the problem. If I put underpants on him he won't do number 2 in them but he will hold it for days. I will try to coax him into going on the toilet but he won't. I don't mind if he has an accident but he won't, he holds it. Today was the longest he went, 5 days, I put a diaper on him and he went in the diaper. Im scared he is going to give himself a bowel obstruction or something. I dont want to keep diapers on him and have him revert back to square one. Anyone have this happen? Any suggestions?

I have a baby who is 15 months old. We recently switched him from formula to whole milk. Does anyone know how long he should stay on whole milk before we transition him to low-fat milk? There is serious morbid obesity that runs on both sides of our family, and we're concerned that he does not get too much fat in his diet.

We would love him at whatever size he is, but we want to help him wherever we can to have a healthy lifestyle, without robbing him of essential fat that he needs to grow and develop normally. Thanks for all your help!

My 20 month old is having her first ear infection and teething at the same time.

She has been on anti-biotics for the last seven days and has been getting fevers when after she awakes from a sleep, normally in the middle of the night.

Can anyone offer advice on how to help her get over this quicker and the best way to ease the pain.

Also how long does it normally last?

Thanks
