Nexttime u should be more careful and anxious about ur baby's health. Two month old baby have to pass motion at least once a day. Maximum once in two days. Baby's r very fragile. If they can't pass motion for 10 days, all the toxic will be inside the body and which is so harmful. U better bring ur baby to see the Dr. Next time, see the amount of iron in formula ( eg. Similac has more iron than mamil) u try to dilute formula in more water (eg. 1 scoop of formula in 40 ml instead of 30 ml) be aware that there r 2 different scoops one is for 30 ml and another is for 60 ml. Dr usually didn't encourage to give water alone when the baby r young. if u r a breast feeing mother and taking suppliment of iron, try to eat fruit and drinks lots of soup which is good for ur baby. Wish ur baby healthy and no further complication from constipation.

Is there anything new that they have started eatting? They could have a food allergy. Start by cutting select foods out of their diet for a day or so and see if it dosent clear up. Dont give them peptobismol because it contains aspirin which can cause reye's syndrom. Keep them well hydrated with pedilite NOT water. If this dosent clear up in a few days take them to the doctor.

You want to give clear fluids - no juice (can make diarrhea worse) and no milk (lactose is not easily digested) and starchy foods - like bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, bread, crackers, noodles, etc.

DO NOT give medication - like Pepto or Immodium - they can give stomach pains in children, and if the diarrhea is caused by a virus or parasite, medication will make it last longer.

If the diarrhea lasts longer than two weeks, you NEED to take your child to the doctor to rule out any problems.

It could be a milk allergy. My son had that problem within 48 hours of no milk products it stopped. Lots of pedialyte and a trip to the doctor is definately a place to start. Bananas applesauce rice and toast is good. One of the times my son had it they finally gave him baby immodium for it

I've been through this a number of times with my son. Just keep giving your child fluids and like the rest or the people said bananas applesauce, starchy foods, rice, potatoes etc. I hate to say this but you have to wait it out my sons lasted 2 weeks. I would call your doc and let them know and ask them what to do. but they will say the same thing. good luck
