Let him watch Superman. I had a friend whose son wore glasses without the lenses every waking moment because he thought he was a superhero. I have suggested this before on Answers and have had good feedback. Kids love wearing/doing things that make them feel special.

My daughter started wearing glasses at 16 months. You just keep putting them back on him and telling him that he has to wear them in order to see. One thing that helped us was a band the doctor attached to the legs of the glasses that wrapped around her head. My problem wasn't so much with my daughter not wanting to wear them but with my ex's grandmother who kept taking them off because she didn't believe in little children wearing glasses, I told her that she could maintain her belief but that since she was my daughter she was going to keep her glasses on.

I wouldn't wish my son would need glasses, but I just have to say that I think that little kids with glasses are the cutest things ever!

Yes, We do. Our child takes spells on wearing them. You just have to encourage him when he or she is wearing them and tell them how good they look on them. Never fuss at them when they don't wear them. We would just say that mom or dad is going to wear them and our child would want them then. ( Kids are possessive when it comes to there stuff)
It just takes time, remember that things look different in there eyes with glasses and it takes time for them to get use to it.
