I'm just wondering because my 22 month has just astonished me by doing about 4 forward rolls without being shown how to do it...how many other parents have seen their young children doing this and at what age?

My fiance works out of town for a week on, week off. He is supposed to get visitation to his 3 yr old son every two months for one month. His son lives in IL, we're in WY. Problem is, when my fiance is working, his son is in my care 100% of the time. I'm going back to work soon because we're pregnant and could use some extra money. My question is, does any body have GOOD advise on what we should do about visitation. We don't think it would be fair to bring him home for a month if we won't be able to spend time with him, plus while he's here or not we have to pay child support, and if he was home while we were working we would have to put him in day care too and we cannot afford that. We want to see him, but we're confused about what's best for him. please only give good, positive advise. Thanks!

My daughter is 17 months old and im trying to get her hair to grow to all one length, the back of it is long but when she was 10 months old we cut the front of it because it was hanging in her face. Now, I am wanting it to grow out but its hanging in her eyes really bad and I know it has to be bugging her.... But I can not for the life of me figure out a way to keep it out of her face. I have tried tying it up but she takes it down with in 3 minutes. I have tried head bands but she pulls them off too, and then breaks them. I have tried blow drying her hair back from her face while its wet to train it to go back and she wont tollerate it, she hates the blow dryer.... Any suggestions?

I have a 2.5 boy who is very hard to entertain and 4.5 girl who is very smart. They can get into little disputes now and then. I will be taking them into an office with me about 3 days a week. The office is enclosed (thank goodness and it will just be us there most of the time)

pre school in the fall also. Between the two of them my daughter is the alpha toddler. Would it be a good idea to have them go to the same school or should they be in different ones since my daughter is bossier? Would she be less dominating if I'm not around?

All my other kids were finished with nappies day & night by the age of 3. My youngest though is still in nappies at night & still regularly wetting herself during the day. She never asks to go to the toilet but will go if taken (no problem with number 2s though). I don't know if she's just being lazy or really has a problem knowing when she needs to empty her bladder. Does anyone have a smiliar experience - what happened.

I've used all the usual strategies - sticker charts etc.

My 3 year old has been spitting when she's angry. Also she'll try to make spit bubbles. I don't want her doing either of these but it seems like reacting negatively to it makes her want to do it more.

pls help. For the last ten days my son has suddenly lost his appetite and meal times are becoming a hassle. I tried giving his favorite food in favorite places but his response is very low. Physically he is fine maybe just traces of some cold and cannot see any new teeth coming out (he already has 8 teeth and 4 molars). Is this a normal phase he is going through or what. Pls share your experience and ideas as I am worried. His mood is not so great and he is sticking to me and whining alot.

My 2 boys and I moved in with my fiance and his son 6 months ago. His son's mother is only in the picture when it is convinient to her, which isn't often. My finance works crazy hours and it barely home therefor I take care of all 3 boys and the household. I am having a hard time with my step-son in getting him to realize the importants of school, he is failing his grade 7 and will not bring home his book to do homework, lies about homework and will not study. I took away his PSP, PS2 and computer, he is not allowed out during the week, if we have a good week, no lying, no uncompleted homework and not failed tests he could go out on the weekend, which he hasn't gotten that privilege yet and it has been 2 months, he is forever in the house but it seems as soon as we give a little he is right back the same way. He has never been disciplines or in a routine like he is now. I don't want to have to move out because of the stress it causes me. Any advice? Am I doing the right thing?

I have 18 month old twins, boy and girl, while my little girl will practically eat anything i put in front of her, her brother is the total opposite, he prefers to graze rather than have a big meal. He'll eat cucumber sticks and banana, carrot sticks and apple dont really work coz all he does is chew the juice out of it and spit it out. Any ideas?

I have a male friend who sleeps naked. He has a preschool son. When the child wants to lay in the bed with his dad, the dad is nude. This disturbs me. Am I overreacting or is this just not right?
