I have a 2.5 boy who is very hard to entertain and 4.5 girl who is very smart. They can get into little disputes now and then. I will be taking them into an office with me about 3 days a week. The office is enclosed (thank goodness and it will just be us there most of the time)

Portable dvd players are nice...my 3 year old son dosen't watch a lot of tv but he feels really special when we go somewhere like the doctor and i have to take him with me. I pop in a dvd and he tottally tunes out everthing else. Maybe if the office is just yours try a ball pit or some kind of cool toy that they only get to play with there

Maybe if you bring something the boys is interested in such as his favorite toys or a DVD if available, and for the girl, something like a puzzle book which would be difficult enough to retain her interest as well as stimulating. I know it sounds crazy but if you tried to include them, such as " draw a picture to help mummy with her work and I'll reward you with a treat??" Empowerment works, even with small kids! Whatever is practical for yourself! Also inquire as to wither your new company has/or has the potential to start day care? Are there any other kids in the office?

Have you thought about asking a neighbor to watch them instead? Since you are only working part time and can't afford a day care, maybe you can clean their house or watch their kids in exchange/barter?

colouring is a good idea for young kids....or let them each bring a toy they want to play with.
