She wants to stay longer when you visit friends and grandma? That's normal.

Tell her ahead of time "honey, we're going to leave in a few minutes." so she's not caught off guard when you decide to leave. Maybe grandma or the friend will walk you both out to the car and say goodbye outside so she's not fighting to stay in their house. If she cries (and she probably will) be strong, and remind her you can visit again soon.

One thing that workd for my daughter is giving her something to look forward to at home (for her it's seeing her dogs).

When you are at Grandma's house you are treated like a queen and giving up your tiara and going home to real life is not fun. Grandma thinks the kid is perfect, a parent know she is not. Grandma doesn't have to correct behaviour because if the kid is a mess, it's your fault not hers. LOL I've heard it said the reason kids and grandparents get along so well is because they have a common enemy-you. LOL I think there is a bit of truth there. Let her have her fun with granny but be very firm about the time she is going to be expected to go home and to act like a big girl or she won't get to go back for awhile. Since Grandma is looking forward to seeing her again soon, she'll help her to behave. I've been the child, the parent and now I'm the Granny so I know about this first hand. Good Luck and God Bless
