My daughter is 18 months old and will not eat. No matter what we do she wont eat. I have tried giving her some of her favorite foods, and it doesnt work. I have tried popsicles, soft foods. Even chocolate. But she wont eat, and its been 3 days now.

Her fluid intake has increased alot. Which is a good thing so that she doesnt get dehydrated. But I dont know if its ok for her to not eat for this long.

I might add that she is teething, she has cut her molars and she is getting all of her teeth from her molars, all the way around to her front teeth, which she has for front teeth. Four on the top, and 3 on the bottom. I know that she is getting her eye teeth, which have already cut thru, she has 6 that have cut thru, so she should be eating. Any suggestions?

I have a 9 mo old daughter and a 2 year old son who isn't speaking yet. He has poor cognitive skills due to having crossed eyes since birth and has had surgeries to correct them and still more to come. He will be seeing a speech and child development therapist next month. Each having different abilities, my daughter is showing signs of catching on earlier than my son did, yet that may be cause her eyes are not crossed. I was just wondering, what are the best learning toys out there that are the appropriate age for my two children?

I'm a nanny for a 4year old and a 20-month old. They are both girls and I'm having a hard time keeping their attention. I'm with them for 8 hours 5 days a week and I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions?

I hope im not the only one with this problem. My son has taken to somehow managing to get his hands inside of his nappies when he has dirtied them. He then wipes his hands on EVERYTHING in sight, including himself. He does not do it all the time, and the times he has is first thing in the morning. So when I go into his room to get him up this is what im greeted with. Has anyone else had to deal with this before?? What did you do to get your child to stop. Yes, I know this is disgusting.

my little boy Tony who is only 4, has suddenly picked up the terrible habit of swearing. He only goes to preschool 3 times a week. He's our only child (I'm pregnant but that's beside the point) so it's not like older siblings taught him. The problem is, he won't just do it at home, he does it while we're out! Dropping f-bombs in the super market, way to make your mom look good! What can I do? This is getting out of hand

to rule out any associated syndromes, she was born with a cleft palate, like my sister who had no syndrome, but because her speech is behind they have to rule out any associated syndromes! I really don't want her to go. But she has also got a slightly mishapen head, from a very traumatic birth. She is 5 soon!
Her speech is coming on, she is very shy! I jsut don't want her to go through having a blood test! Anyone had simular experience! Its tuesday we see the genetic dr!

My 3 year old son has been sick for a few days. Started out with croupe then seemed to move to a chest cold. I brought him to the ER to get him checked out yesterday. The doctor told me that I REALLY need to push the fluids because he was looking a bit dehydrated.

So Friday he ate about 4 grapes for breakfast, and that was it for the day. A bit of milk, bit of juice. Saturday he ate about 1/4 cup yogurt and 3 or 4 grapes for breakfast and refused to eat for the rest of the day. The fluids slowed down a bit too. I bought him a slurpee and he only drank a few sips and wouldn't drink anymore. Today he ate one grape for breakfast and that's it. He did drink about 4 ounces of milk and I finally got him to eat a popsicle so that's a bonus for the fluids.

Should I be concerned about his solid intake or is it really the fluids that I need to be concerned about?

I know it may just be the terrible 2s, but he can get so out of hand sometimes it makes me wanna pull my hair out. He isn't speaking yet and from the moment he had his 1st eye surgery due to crossed eyes, or Strabisimus, he has gone 90 mi per minute it seems like. And that was at 7 mo old! He has a very short attention span. Repeatedly gets into things or does things he knows hes not supposed to no matter how many times he gets scolded for it. Recently started kicking people. Still having trouble getting him to sleep in his bed since we've moved into this new house 6 months ago. He will be seeing a speech and child development therapist next month due to not speaking and poor cognitive skills. Screams for no apparent reason. Doesn't seem to understand what "no" means. I know he may just be at the "terrible 2s" but what's the best way to handle things like this? I'm willing to do anything and have the patience to try, but any ideas would be grateful. Have you been there? Can you help?

She is two and a half. She has only been acting like this recently. She is crying all the time. She throws herself back all the time for nothing. They are like fits but more. I 'm making a appointment with her doctor but wanted to know if this is normal.

I'm asking b/c I have two (20 months and almost 3) and I'm debating on purchasing a one of those "sit and stand" strollers. But that's alot of money to fork out $130 just to use for a year. I do have a double stroller (one of the big bulky ones that fit both kids) but it's a monster! My son rarely likes to ride and my daughter is almost to that stage where she's not into riding either.

How old were your toddlers when they pretty much walked during your whole trip? Thanks.
