but he dosen't crawl, he creeps on his stomach. He says a couple of words, he mimics... If he dosen;t do any of the things that I have said at 15 mo then the doctor will send him to a special. My 4yr old did walk until he was 16mo.

My 15 month old doesn't walk. She does walk around furnature though...but if he says a couple of words, I wouldn't worry yet! :) I hate when doctors and "charts" get us all stressed...
IN fact...none of my children have walked before 16 months old...so that alone shouldn't be alarming...
However...keep an eye out for whether he makes eye contact...responds to sound...and stuff like that...
If still no movement by 18 months old...then you can start to look into things...but you know...I still wouldn't worry, because what ever step comes next...you will still be able to do what ever he needs...
:) he's still a blessing

I dont think the walking at this age is a big deal, but the sitting up should maybe be checked out, and they say that the crawling has a lot to do with motor skills at a later age. My nephew is having trouble with his motor skills (mostly writting troubles) at 10 and they told my sister it is because he did not crawl. Just dont get to overwhelmed, the specialist is there to help so he wont struggle later, and just go with your instinct and ignore other people's opinions, that has been the most beneficial for me where my children are concerned.

I do agree wtih your doctor, that if by 15 months he hasn't reached those developmental milestones it wouldn't hurt to have him evaluated by a specialist. It may very well be nothing, but always helpful to have an evaluation. It may be something that physical therapy and speech therapy would help. Kids do all develop differently.... I had one son that didn't crawl until almost 12 months, walked at 15 months.... then my second son crawled at 6 months, and walked at 9 months. Turns out my second son ended up being autistic. Go figure! Anyways, trust your gut and an evaluation never hurts. Good luck!

I wouldn't worry at all. My first born didn't crawl, he stood at around 13 months and didn't walk till he was nearly 19 months! He's nearly 25 now and absolutely fine. My second born didn't walk till she was 16 months and she fine too!
The doctors told me she might need to see a specialist but I wasn't worried because I knew my son got there in the end.

All kids are different. My daughter did not walk or crawl on time. She was almost 2 when she walked and we found out it was because she was double jointed. A child will do things when they are ready, quit stressing.

I would talk to a Dr. Just in case. By 15months a child should be able to sit up. If there is a problem its better to catch it now and not later in life.
best of luck
i would work with him show him how over and over and over. non stop work make it fun and lots of praise
