Call the doctor immediately. If your doctor doesn't have someone on call today then take her to the minor care or urgent care clinic in your town. I hope she feels better soon!

A temperature isn't even considered a "fever" until it's 100.4, so this is NOT a high temp. Kids can run temperatures of up to 105-106 without any serious problems.
Most fevers are caused by viruses, and there isn't much a pediatrician can do for a virus, so you might as well take care of it at home.
The absolute temperature doesn't tell you much. Is your child acting different? Lethargic? Seeming to be in pain? Vomiting or diarrhea? These are much more telling symptoms of a more serious problem.
The advice you've already gotten about light clothing, warm & shallow baths, offering plenty of fluids, and alternating Tylenol and Motrin is all good. HOWEVER, our pediatrician doesn't advocate treating fever at all (unless your child is really miserable) unless the fever is over 102. Since the fever is the body's way of fighting infection, sometimes it's best to just let it go.
And remember: a febrile seizure is scary but not medically significant. It doesn't require an ambulance. And if it's a repeat occurrence, you might not even need a doctor.
(Our oldest runs fevers at the drop of a hat, and gets febrile seizures if we don't monitor her very, very carefully.)

First of all RELAX! I have 5 kids and fevers that low are pretty common. First of all stick your finger in babys mouth press on gums are there bumps like maybe a new tooth? Does baby have a runny nose? It could be a cold. Make sure baby is getting plenty of fluids no matter what. You can try this give baby motrin then wait 2 hrs then give baby tylenol then in 2 hrs give baby motrin again. repeat this process every 2 hrs. Not only is this the info i was given by MIL and FIL but Dr when baby had flu and nurse when baby was teething. My son had the flu and a fever of 104.3 and I was FREAKING OUT! MIL and FIL said while this temp in an adult is dangerous it is not so much in small people. Not feeling secure in this I called the 24 hr Nurses line and they said the same thing. Turns out he just had the flu. When in doubt call your pediatrician or nurses line

If you gave her motrin last time, this time use tylenol. Then let her kinda play in the lukewarm bathwater for a bit. Put light clothing on her and then keep an eye on her. Make sure she's drinking plenty of fluids, water, juice, Powerade even. If she's moody and this just came on with no other symptoms like most colds have, she might be teething. If the fever goes to 103 then call your doctor. Til then, just keep rotating the motrin and tylenol, Lukewarms baths, cool cloth on the head, and keep giving fluids. Don't worry if her appetite is down it's normal.

a luke warm bath, use wash clothes to cool baby off, don't cover her up or dress too warm. 101 is really not that high so just re-medicate when time is right. Sometimes tylenol and motrin together will reduce it faster. As long as its not going up she should be fine. My daughter ran like 104 for a week one time at about that age which freaked me out but she was fine -if it keeps going up with medication I woukld take her to the ER. A temp is just sign of infection.

My daughter used to respond well to motrin and a luke warm bath and her fever would be down within an 1/2 an hour, until one day it didn't go down and we had to call an ambulance, becuase she was having a febrial seizure. And now every fever freaks us out. In your case, if the fever doesn't go down within an hour or so, I would just take precaution and take her to the emergency room. If it turns out to be nothing but a new tooth, so what, at least you know now, and didn't risk anything life threatening.

My first question would be how did you take the temperature? If you took it under the armpit, rememeber that you are supposed to add 1-2 degrees, that would make the baby's fever closer to 102 or 103, so I would say, without a doubt, call the doctor!

she's probably teething
let it go for a few even with no change from meds
go to doc if it goes up though or lasts more than a couple more hours
101 temp cant hurt a kid it's when it gets to 103 that you should really be worried
if you are still worried call your doc or 911 for advice
hope she's feeling better soon

What are other symptoms?
A fever alone is no cause for concern.
You can alternate between tylenol and ibuprofen, so if tylenol didn't work, try ibuprofen.

you should not give her a same medicine that you give right now! you should give her an alternate medicine or giver her a lemon juice, and rub all her body with the cold water if the fever has become 101.... . and give her a massage slight massage all her body. with olive oil.
