I hope im not the only one with this problem. My son has taken to somehow managing to get his hands inside of his nappies when he has dirtied them. He then wipes his hands on EVERYTHING in sight, including himself. He does not do it all the time, and the times he has is first thing in the morning. So when I go into his room to get him up this is what im greeted with. Has anyone else had to deal with this before?? What did you do to get your child to stop. Yes, I know this is disgusting.

Try body suits, or onsies, they helped keep my little ones hands out of there. He eventually just gave up. Or you could try getting up earlier and beating him to it. Wake him up, before he wakes up and decides to do some painting.

genuinely exchange the diaper... If the diaper has feces, it is going to get replaced. that's barely urine, then leave or no longer that's. Urine is a sterile liquid (in spite of the indisputable fact that regularly slightly acidic), and right this moment's diapers do properly to maintain it far off from the exterior; for this reason that's not a great number of a concern; yet feces includes micro organism and enzymes, the two considered one of that would reason injury to infant's epidermis. Leaving a grimy diaper will boost the hazards for a foul diaper rash or urinary tract an infection. Congratulations on your drawing near motherhood. i'm confident you would be an superb mommy! Cheers!

Don't be discouraged! I've heard of TONS of kids doing this, even though I've been blessed and my son hasn't tried this one yet. I'm sure it's coming! Have you tried putting him to bed with a onesie on?? I'm sure it would be a lot harder for him to get his hands in there if there's something in the way. I would give that a try first. Good luck with this!!! I hope it's a phase that doesn't last too awful long! Make sure you eat your breakfast WAY before you go to get him up!

I guess it would depend on how old your son is...

My sister in law has a developmentally delayed daughter who does this, (and no, I'm not implying that your son is)...but my point is there isn't a way to get her to "stop" but she can make it much harder for her to get access.

She puts onesies on...her with the snap crotch...and puts feety pj's on her...Eventually her daughter learned how to unzip..so she cut the feet off, (of the jammies) and put the pj's on backward. During the day the only thing you can do is get to the diapers before he does...but night time..this might help...
Good luck!!

My daughter did that. I was told that kids do that when they are ready to be potty trained. They don't like the way that it feels so they reach in their diaper and try to get it out to be more comfortable. They rub it on things just because it's on their hands and that is what little kids do. They will do that with food, paint or anything that they get on their hands.

Poopcasso. They such wonderful artist at a young age.

1. beat him to it.

2. dress him in creeper pj's (like the blanket pjs but they have no feet, if that don't work put them on backwards)

3. give him fingerpaint to express him self with (afraid he will try to eat it use pudding instead)

4. don't be mean or scare the little guy, but tell him that is a no no!!!!!!!!

5. (and what got my young poopcasso to stop) have him help clean it up

My daughter has done this before too, don't get discouraged, you are not in this alone. What I have done, was I put her in zip up pj's and then place a safety pin through the zipper and clip it to the clothes so she is unable to upzip it, and "finger paint". Hope this helps for you. Also onesies might work too, but soon they learn to unsnap them as well.

Good luck!

EVERY kids does it. It is perfectly normal. Try waking up before your son so you can stop him from doing it. Or, try putting him in clothing that he cannot undo so he cannot get to his diaper.

If he take the diapers off, put them on backwards. (worked for me.. embarassing huh.. lol)

If they are to loose, put them on a bit tighter.

If hes sleeping in just a diaper, put him in some clothes. especially a one peice suit.

Your best bet would be to put him in a one peice suit.
