My daughter is 18 months old and will not eat. No matter what we do she wont eat. I have tried giving her some of her favorite foods, and it doesnt work. I have tried popsicles, soft foods. Even chocolate. But she wont eat, and its been 3 days now.
Her fluid intake has increased alot. Which is a good thing so that she doesnt get dehydrated. But I dont know if its ok for her to not eat for this long.
I might add that she is teething, she has cut her molars and she is getting all of her teeth from her molars, all the way around to her front teeth, which she has for front teeth. Four on the top, and 3 on the bottom. I know that she is getting her eye teeth, which have already cut thru, she has 6 that have cut thru, so she should be eating. Any suggestions?

Please, dont tell me to take her to the doctor. I mean think about it, If its been three days, that means it started on friday, and today is sunday.... therefore the doctors office is closed.

take a deep breath. not wanting to eat during teething is perfectly normal. if she is continuing to drink and drink more that is another good sign. her mouth is hurting and any kind of pressure is uncomfortable. cold, wet cloths really help while teething and of course infants tylenol\advil every 4 hrs. she will eat soon, don't panic. i have 3 children and each of them had rough times through teething and wouldn't eat for periods of time. maybe if it continues for another 2 days with no food you should call the doc. keep up the fluids.

I wouldn't worry to much she will eat when she is ready.
I would give her some ibuprofen for children (Advil)
it will help the pain and inflammation. My daughter had that and
baby oragel. they worked like a charm for her. Also when I did feed her frozen peas, frozen waffles,Popsicles and any thing cold. When she is ready.
Good Luck

Try to eat soft food. Such as rice, NO tortillas. Also try some apple sauce. If nothing else works, try one of those drinks that gives you protein, maybe you can mix it in with her milk, or water, so al-least she can get her vitamins, which she generally gets from her food. Good Luck!

As long as she is drinking liquids she should be okay. She will eat when she feels hungry. You can always call the doctor tomorrow.

As long as she is getting the liquids, I wouldn't worry at this point. She could be entering the terrible twos already, too.

Rub a little rum on her gums to deaden the pain. Give it a couple of minutes to numb and then see if she will eat or drink something. Good Luck
