My son, who just turned two, wakes up every morning with a totally full diaper. Most days, he pees so much that the diaper overflows and his pajamas get wet. We have tried diaper doublers (inserted in the diaper to increase absorbency), and multiple brands of diapers. Nothing seems to work. Ideas on how to fix this problem? Is this normal? If not, should I be worried?

I have a 4 year old daughter who will not sleep by herself. She sleeps in bed with me and my husband has to sleep on the couch. We even put her bed in our room so she wouldn't be alone but we thought that might get her to sleep without someone next to her. It did not work. She gets so upset until I let her sleep in my bed. I need help I don't know what to do. My husband and I are getting fed up with this. We want her in her own room with her sister. That is the other problem. Her sister is one and just goes in her crib and goes to sleep, but they share a room. I can't just put my 4 year old in there because she is the one who screams and throws a fit and then my one year old can't sleep and she starts crying. The first thing I need to do is get my daughter to just lay down by herself and go to sleep. No tv or anything. Then If that happens she can start sleeping in her room again. Please Help!!!!!!!!!

I give my son warm milk before bed to help him sleep, but he is getting tired of it every night. Is there any other drink to give him that will help him relax and sleep?

My younger cousin Brianna only answers to her surname (Last name). If I say Brianna come here she ignores me knowing that I am talking to her, but if I say Johnson come her she comes. It's not just to me, she will rather get fussed at by everyone for not doing what she is told just to be called Johnson. For example she dumped all the toys out on the floor, my grandmother said Brianna pick up your toys so Deontaye (that's me) can vacuum the room. She ignores her until my grandmother said, "Johnson pick up your toys".

at night and I find that every night I am now going into her bed to check for a diaper and waking her up to put one on. If I forget to check, she sure does remind me when she pees in the bed and wakes up screaming because her bed is wet.

I have tried putting pjs on her, she takes off the bottoms, takes off the diaper, and puts the bottoms back on. I have tried snap bottoms, she learned how to pull the snaps AND how to take the diaper off if she has a onesie on. I have also tried one piece with zippers, she can get THOSE down! Tonight I am trying the LAST idea I know, I put the diaper on BACKWARDS!

Any MORE ideas if the backwards diaper doesn't work?

Thanks,
Belinda

P.§. We are working on potty changing during the day and she has no trouble leaving the diaper on. But I don't know WHY she insists on taking it off at night!

My little guy turned one today. I am very excited for what is to come this year, but I have been on the verge of tears all day and faking my excitement because I will miss my "baby". I was just wondering if any other mothers grieved over this loss when their little ones turned 1. I would also welcome any advice for whats to come this year! Thanks!

i have a 3 year old son who has just stated nursery. and an 18 month old daughter with down syndrome, recently he has started to become very aggro with her and has a tantrum if ieven go to put her on the floor to play with him. i know its jealousy and if anything he gets the lions share of the attention. he is never pushed out. but he has terrible tantrums over everything she picks up and has started carrying it on when he is playing with other children his own age. i know he is sometimes spoilt. and i am probably to blame. i would be interested if anyone out there has a gentle approach to these temper tantrums as i have tried time out and it just made him worse......aaargh i need a supernanny (lol)

Since my son's always heard me calling my mother "mom" and her calling me by my first name.. whenever he is speaking to me he calls me by my first name (betty) and sometimes he'll say "bettymum" but he calls his grandma "mom" all the time.. Is this something that happens often? Will he eventually stop?

My son is 2 yrs old tomorrow and has been waking up from sleep in the mornings and from his naps crying and has, at times, had night terrors. The last night terror he had was a really bad one on halloween night. He hasn't had any since but he is now in speech therapy because he was speaking and now is not. He has regressed and we cannot pinpoint why. He has had his hearing tested and has had evaluations from speech therapists who say he seems normal. Does anyone know what could cause this? My son is a very happy child but when he wakes up it is as if he doesn't know where he is or is scared of something. Most days we can calm him just by holding him but then there are days where he is unconsollable and screaming like someone is scaring him or he is being hurt somehow. I don't know what to do. I am a SAHM and am very close with my son and he is very close with his father. We spend all of our time with him but this is one issue we cannot understand or know how to deal with. Please Help.

stares at it when it's on. She only takes him out once a day, to the park AFTER his nap and lunch because "Its warmer out." Every morning he runs into my room and wakes me up and she doesn't stop him, just lets him do it. When I get home, his blocks are all over the living room, the dirty dishes aren't in the dishwasher, and if we wash dishes, she doesn't put the clean ones away. They sit.
She promised to have her lisence soon (she is 17) and months later, she is still "working on it" and "learning how to parallel park and all that."
She bought pullups to potty train him (he will be 2 next month) and only worked with him last week. WHen she came back on monday she put him in diapers and used the excuse, "he seemed like sitting on his potty was making him distressed so I'll wait a few weeks, until he stops screaming."
But crying is a part of potty training! And when she was working on it, there would be all of his Curious George books sitting next to his potty when I got home.

Our pediatrician said that he can have it til 2 because his teeth aren't fully developed yet and it won't harm his growth. He only uses it for naps and bedtime. But, at 18 mos., I feel he's ready to be nook-free... Please help!
