My son, who just turned two, wakes up every morning with a totally full diaper. Most days, he pees so much that the diaper overflows and his pajamas get wet. We have tried diaper doublers (inserted in the diaper to increase absorbency), and multiple brands of diapers. Nothing seems to work. Ideas on how to fix this problem? Is this normal? If not, should I be worried?

What everyone else said, cut down fluids 2 hrs before bed. Also, you may want to try a size bigger than he's wearing. That's what I did for my son and it worked very well. Also, be sure to really pull the sticky tabs as close together as possible. You might think it's uncomfortable for his tummy, but his tummy shrinks at night so the diaper needs to be very tight at bedtime. Hope this helps!

I use white cloud diapers because my son is allergic to every thing else, and I have never had this problem at all..... I would say cut the drinking out around 1-2 hours before bedtime, and change his diaper before bed.... Also you could try going up a size in diapers.... this will increase absorbancy, and if you have to, overlap when you fasten around the waist..... that may help too... If nothing else get up in the middle of the night and change him, or if you put him to bed at 8 and stay up until 11 (just an idea) then change him before you go to bed...

I wouldnt be too worried, my son had the same problem. I just started cutting back the amount he drank before he went to bed. that and I had to change the diapers I was using. I found that White Cloud generics work really good.

When my daughter was going through her diapers like that it was because she needed another size. Or try another brand. I was using Pampers and I switched to Luvs and haven't had that problems since.

You need to limit the amount of liquids before bedtime. Maybe it's time to start potty training.
