I give my son warm milk before bed to help him sleep, but he is getting tired of it every night. Is there any other drink to give him that will help him relax and sleep?

This is before I go brush his teeth. After if he is still wanting a drink he only gets water. I try to not give him one after brushing teeth to avoid peeing the bed.

I think you're doing great, just the right things. If he'a having difficulty drifting off some people like to mix in a bit of Horlics (horlix?) to the warm milk. Just tell him it's either milk or water. Those are his choices. Anything with too much proccessed sugar or colours aren't good before bed. We have goat milk as it has more of the good stuff that dairy has and there are no negative reactions. You are looking after his best interests so stay strong!

Truthfully, a glass of warm milk isn't going to help induce sleep. Maybe the comfort of the routine helps him wind down, but that's about it. You can give him whatever drink he wants that is caffeine free. I think it is the bedtime routine of having a drink before brushing and bed that helps him to relax. Make it something he will look forward to by giving him a choice of drink. Besides water, my son drinks apple juice, V8 Fusion, milk, chocolate milk, yogurt drinks, yogurt drinks mixed with milk, and various other juices that I may pick up. What really relaxes my son is bath night. He's out shortly after his bath.

A child should have their teeth brushed after their last meal/drink of the day. Warm milk before you brush their teeth may relax him, that's all I can think of.

Nope, whilst my toddler & older toddler desire something to drink they are in a position to have water. it is extra healthy & i do no longer desire them having the sugars until eventually now mattress. If somebody at ANY age has juice until eventually now bedtime they might besides no longer even brush their teeth by using sugars that are in the juices you at the instant are not likely to be doing any solid besides.

Milk is really the best thing to give because when it reaches his stomach it turns into a solid and is digested like food. If your child is tired of milk then mix in a little Kool-aid to flavor the milk. The flavors are endless and the colors are great too.

I don't advocate giving a toddler anything to drink before bedtime. This only makes for nightime wetting to begin with and sugary drinks can cuse tooth decay. I suggest simply starting a regular bedtime routine, bath, pjs, tooth brusing, maybe a drink, story and then lights out.

Try a little bit of hot tea, maybe with a dash of honey or sugar, that really seems to work with my son! Good luck!!

Milk is a stimulant for young kids. I like to make my little ones each drink 36 fluid ounces of their favorite prune juice. There is only one type of prune juice, but letting them choose makes them feel more grown up.

Now that they are in college, though, they are starting to resist the prune juice. Just stick with it... they'll come around

I'd steer away from tea and hot chocolate as both of those contain caffeine. Juice or water is best.
