at night and I find that every night I am now going into her bed to check for a diaper and waking her up to put one on. If I forget to check, she sure does remind me when she pees in the bed and wakes up screaming because her bed is wet.

I have tried putting pjs on her, she takes off the bottoms, takes off the diaper, and puts the bottoms back on. I have tried snap bottoms, she learned how to pull the snaps AND how to take the diaper off if she has a onesie on. I have also tried one piece with zippers, she can get THOSE down! Tonight I am trying the LAST idea I know, I put the diaper on BACKWARDS!

Any MORE ideas if the backwards diaper doesn't work?

Thanks,
Belinda

P.§. We are working on potty changing during the day and she has no trouble leaving the diaper on. But I don't know WHY she insists on taking it off at night!

she is two, and right now our attempts at daytime potty training have been a failure. So the panties idea won't work. But PJs on backwards and tape sound like good ideas. If the backwards diaper doesn't work (or gets annoying, it is hard to get her to lay on her belly).

this may seem bizarre,, but have you tried duct tape ? the stuff is sticky and very difficult to remove from plastic.(you will need to cut them off) .. another idea is to use real diapers at night with the latest in diaper pins.

I care for 4 autistic children of various ages - and NONE of them are ( or probably ever will be) toilet trained. I got sick to death of washing walls, bedding etc, after their diapers or pull-ups were pulled off, so I bought rash suits.

I live in Australia, and rash suits are 1 piece, light weight knee length swimming suits that zip up the back. Cool enough for the beach and warm nights, or I can layer heavier pjs over them. There is no way a child can get a rash suit with a mock turtleneck down, and they can't reach up the legs, so they've been a godsend.
I put their diapers, pull-ups etc on at night, put the suit on, and use a diaper pin to keep them from unzipping themselves.
I haven't had to scrub or paint walls in over 6 months now. Not one single "accident" !

Even if you use a 1 piece sleeper, use one with a zipper, and make sure you use a diaper pin, or a big safety pin that will keep the zipper up.

And there's always the old favorite to keep a diaper on..... duct tape !

I had this problem with my 2.5 year old, except she took off poopy diapers and painted the walls with them! The solution we found to work was to put one piece zippered PJ's with no feet on backward so the zipper was up her back. She couldn't get it down, and had to leave her diaper on. Also, she outgrew the getting naked thing in about 6 weeks. Good luck!

My daughter is 34 months and that i did not imagine she grow to be waiting as she didnt prefer to bypass without her diaper. I were given her highly panties and she so needed to placed on them I basically enable her and no problems with the potty practise pee pees in trouble-free terms moist herself two times in 3 weeks. decision 2s are a quite diverse tale besides the undeniable fact that... the most ideal fulfillment thoughts I actually have heard are from those who do not stress it. at the same time as i grow to be 2 I took my diaper off and refused to placed on it and used the potty from then on. All youngsters are diverse you basically ought to judge and be prepared to purchase some carpet cleanser and sparkly panties!!!

Maybe she gets really sweaty down there and finds relief by taking the diaper off. And putting the diaper on backwards is what I used to do. Maybe if you buy her those neat looking princess pull ups she might want to keep those on.

Try the duct tape, it works. My daughter was doing the same thing, she would take off her diapers at night and during the day. My mother told me to use duct tape and it worked.

How old is your daughter? My 2 year old son *loves* to be naked. For a long time we would put overalls on over his PJs (criss crossing the straps in the back to make it harder to pull the overalls off). That kept him dressed for a long time but now he can get those off too.
Good luck.

my son went through a similar phase,
once he learned how to get his diaper off, he would take it off right after i put it on him, we kept packing tape with his diapers and wipes and taped them on pretty well, after awhile we didn't have to do it anymore. good luck!
