I am looking for behavior charts and a place where I can make up some rules for my house than a chart where I can show good behavior. I have been searching for hours and can not find anything. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old and want to get these charts that were on one of the nanny shows they said the adress but went to fast for me.

I'm a stay at home mom of a 3 1/2 yr old and a 16 month old. Recently my husband commented that our house was "such a mess" compared to some of our friends homes. Don't get me wrong our house isn't immaculant, but its definetly not a dump by any means. There may be a few toys on the living room floor and a few dishes in the sink but not nasty or dirty, all in all its kept straightned up. My husband wants the house even cleaner. I practically go crazy now trying to keep up with the house and laundry and the kids. My 3 1/2 yr old is active and destroys EVERYTHING I clean up. She had gotton so bad about tearing her clothes of the hangers in her closet on a daily basis that we had to put a lock on the door so she can't go in and do it. My 16 month old is at the stage that everything mommy puts up is so much fun to tear back down. Just wondering how other moms with younger active kids keet the house clean with out going out of your mind LOL??????

I have my cats litter box in a room that I would like to gate off so my toddler can not get in but I also need my cat to be able to get in and out. The bottom also has to be adjustable for baseboard.

I tried lifting up the gate so the cat can get under but my toddler gets under too.

Also my cat will not jump the gate (old and lazy)

Thanks

I am finding it hard to keep my daughter in bed. I put her to bed at about 8pm, I read her a couple of books and we say our prayers and I tuck her in, but she is constantly calling me and saying that she has a question, or she is thirsty. I have tried to ignore her after the 2nd time she has called me, but she just gets up and comes into the den where I am. And just when I think she is asleep, she will call me again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any and all will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a new booster for my daughter. She weighs 24 lbs so she can be in the booster seat now. She is taller for her age around 34inches. I am looking for one that we will beable to use for quite a while and will grow with her. The last one I had was kind of difficult to use and it wasnt a tall back one so her head was coming close to the top of it. Any advice or site would be helpful.

I am a single mother, I have been recieving daycare assistance from the state of michigan while I work part time, but recently found out that after 3 years I am approved for social security due to a mental illness I have, my social worker has told me that childcare assitance is only available for working, and not school? I am no longer working but starting school next week, and will be attending one day a week for now, I am wondering if I qualify for any kind of childcare assistance while just attending school? if not I'll have to pay $35 a week, for just the one day, and even more when I decide to take more classes... Thanks for any info!

My daughter in the past week has started hitting me, the dog, the highchair, the couch, etc. She doesn't seem angry it's more like she's testing me but I don't want her to think that this behaviour is ok. She has also knocked several people in the head by throwing her toys. What's the best way to correct her behaviour?

My daughter is 18 months old and is using a straw sippy cup and does also use the gerber hard spout ones. When should I begin to wean her from them? How do I do it, I mean do I just go to a regular cup or is there a certain sippy cup that is better for older toddlers? I have seen some with a small hole that looks more like a regular cup where the juice just comes out into the top and then they sip (doesnt make to much sense its hard to explain). First time mom and any advice would help!

He has been coughing pretty bad and has a runny nose. He says his throat hurts but I'm not totally sure if it does or if he is just saying yes to everything that I ask him. He's been pickier about eating and drinking, so I think it's a good possability.

I've given him cold/allergy medication but he hasn't seemed to get any better, plus it's very diffacult to get him to take it at all anyway.

What are some things I an do to help him to feel better and maybe get over this quicker?

She will be 5 in Sept so she'll make the cutoff, she's just so passive and shy that we are wondering if we should wait a year so she's at least not the youngest and most passive shy child in the class. Anyone have any experience with this?

How do you retrain a 2 yr old to be a little more of a heavier sleeper. When she was little her mother made the house so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Now when she comes to the house with my fiance she wakes if the wind blows. I am not used to this since my sone would sleep thru a train coming thru the house. He is a very sound sleeper since I ran the vacuum and had the lights on played the radio or the tv always had noise going on when he slept. But this is all so different and difficult.

Due to the fact that I will probably not be able to get my income tax money until maybe February, I may not be able to have a Birthday Party for my fixing to be three year old, even if he turns three on Jan. 20,2007 until then. Any of you had to do that before?

Suddenly, she is having accidents in her panties and experiencing separation anxiety. Her mother and father are not together (he is in her life though) and they are going through a move. Could she be stressed out and releasing it this way? It would make sense that her bodily functions are what she has total control of. My friend is a wonderful mother and they are very close. Any suggestions or opinions?

Children are NATURALLY hyper. It is your job as a parent to teach them how to focus and do learning teachniques that help them get involved. I WAS ALWAYS hyper as a child and still am. My childhood doctor tried to force my mom into getting me tested at 5 years of age. She refused and said I was hyper, because that's who I was. Low and behold, I'm now 21, pregnant with my first child and still hyper. BOTH OF MY PARENTS have high energy and are very hyper people. It doesn't automatically diagnose me with ADHD...also, I do sometimes have a hard time focusing, HOWEVER with self-discipline and training from my mother, I've learned how WITH NO MEDICATIONS. THANK YOU MOTHER for never forcing me to take a drug that subdues who I really am. I think that having a 3 year old placed on Ritalin for being hyper and "not-focusing" is absolutely bull...i can't believe parents are falling for this drug-laced society, where everyone is place on drugs for some new "condition"

My lil girl used to sleep in her baby bed when she got real sick i let her sleep in my bed. since she was 4 months and since then i couldnt get her to sleep in her baby bed anymore so i took it down and bought her a toddler bed thinking she wanted a big bed like momma. and i cant get her to sleep in it either any ideas?

And what age should she stop sucking on a pacifer?
and you know the sockets where you plug things in...well i bought some safety plugs for them... but that was a waste of money because she can take them off with no problem. and she wont listen to me when i say no or tap her hand so what can i do about that?

How is the best way of getting picky kids to eat food they havent tried before? My 3 year old daughter will happily eat things she has on a regular basis and knows she likes, but when presented with something new, she's reluctant to try it. I have to bribe her! I've tried giving her dinner and not letting her down until its gone. 2 hours later she's still sat there, only having eaten the part she knows she likes and saying she doesn't like the bit she hasnt even tried before. Iv tried not letting her have anything else unless its eaten, she ends up going to bed with no dinner because she point blank refuses to try any of it. Its so frustrating! I know my attempts might seem harsh, but if i let her get away with it then she'll think she can leave her dinner to have something else every time. What do other parents in similar situations do? I want my daughter to have a more varied diet but seem like im banging my head against a brick wall!

He doesn't want to be left alone in bed and will finally fall asleep on the floor by his door. Once transferred to bed he sleeps well but will always wake at some point in the night and go back to the floor by the door. He loves his bed but just doesn't want to go there at bed time. He has a child gate on his doorway to stop him escaping. My wife is due to have our second child any day so is this security related?

He never wanted a pacifier and never sucked his thumb, only his right index finger and his teeth and the tip of his finger looks horrible! I talked to the doctor, but he doesn't seem to think much about it. Any ideas? He also does it very loud when he's asleep and it's really annoying at night.
