He never wanted a pacifier and never sucked his thumb, only his right index finger and his teeth and the tip of his finger looks horrible! I talked to the doctor, but he doesn't seem to think much about it. Any ideas? He also does it very loud when he's asleep and it's really annoying at night.

I read in a book there is something you can get to put on it so when they suck on it; it tastes like crud and they don't want to suck on it anymore.

DEAR put his thumb in his mouth all depends on the hand you want to write with if right he is to suck his left thumb if you want him left handed then the right one and do not think to much about it he will grow out of it and do not let doctors nurses dentist say put a metal plate in the roof of his mouth then you really will not get any sleep at all if you let them talk you in to this so do not do it he will out of it on his own and do not yell at him spank him fuss scream are any thing give him a blanket teddy bear stuffed toy pillow and let him sleep with you for a night are 2 he is very insure are lay down with him until he sleep OK

WHEN I WAS LITTLE I WOULD NOT STOP SUCKING MY THUMB AND SO SHE SAID IT WILL LOOK UGLY LIKE A MONKEY AND I STOPED LOL BUT LET HER UNTIL SHE IS LIKE 5 THEN YOU GOT TO STOP HER OR HM SORRY
