My husband thinks it's fine to let our 6-yr-old stay up until 9:30 p.m.,but I think it's too late. I think a more reasonable bedtime is 8:00 p.m. I remember having a 9:30 bedtime when I was 13!

My husband lives in another city, and we see each other every 2 months. In one of my trips to meet him, I took our little 3 years old daughter with me. She saw us kissing each other in the lips, not a long kiss, just a "hello" one, and, since that minute, she is always telling me "mommy & daddy kiss each other with their open mouths". This is driving me crazy. I have tried to explain her that this is normal for adults to show their love that way, but I'm not sure if she understands me, and sometimes, she even tries to kiss me in the mouth. How can I handle this situation. Help me, pls. Desperate mom.

Massive trouble giving her medicine.
She HATES IT. Won't open her mouth.or spits it out.

Tried putting in it Honey or Jam. Also in Apple Juice & Milk.
She can still taste the medicine & so won't take it.

What do i do ? Do i force it down her ??

Will he just pass it? Will there be no underlying dangers? He swallowed it yesterday and my friend told me not to worry. Physically he is ok, a very happy baby.

My son who is nearly 6yrs old won't poo on the toilet. He prefers to poo in his pants. He uses the toilet for wee's though so i don't understand why he won't poo on there.
My husband and me have tried allsorts. I never had this problem with both of my daughters so i don't know where i've gone wrong.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I asked a question about potty training a little while ago and almost all the answers I've gotten are telling me to do things I stated in my question I was already doing!

My son is now 3 and we are having a horrible time potty training! He uses the potty once in a while if he has to pee, but he's only used it once to poop and ever since then he won't do it. He freaked out when he flushed the toilet when he was done becuase he thought the toilet was eating him. He's done so so when he has to pee since then, but he seems to insist on peeing on my floor! He'll go when I take him in there and he gets rewarded and praised for it and I take him in there every 15 - 20 minutes to "try" to go, but we still have this problem of him peeing where he's not supposed to. Any suggestions would be great!

PS: I know he's ready because he tells me he has to go....... just not all the time.

The girls are developmentally on track and have been using the potty chairs on-and-off for a couple of months now. They can tell us when they need to go, but now that we've actually started being consistent with sitting them down every hour, they don't go. Then they will go five minutes later in their pants. We've just started being more regimented in our routine this weekend, so is this normal? Any other tips? Thanks!

My son has been thowing up half the night but isn't running a fever at all, in fact his temp is rather low. Is there anything I can do for him? If it continues obviously I'll take him into the emergency room but at this point I don't think that's necessary.

He's only two, and I'm just terrified that something terrible will happen to him someday and I won't be able to handle it. Is this a mother's natural protection instincts gone awry? I just think i would die if anything ever happened to him.

My 3.5 year old son wants to do everything in 4's. like brush his teeth 4 times, eat 4 cookies, he wants to buy 4 turtles(where getting 2 this spring) ect. Is this a sign that he's becoming obsessive compulsive? Or is it just a 3 year old phase? BTW he can count to 20 so thats not it. Maybe 4 is his favorite number? He is a very bright kid, he knows he'll be 4 on his next birhtday, so maybe thats it?

My 4 year old son told me earlier that "i am not good dad and he wishes i would die so he could go live with ashley". Ashleys my ex girlfriend, shes not even his mom (his mom left 3 years ago). Ever since ashley and I have broken up I havent let her come around or let him call her. Im not sure if that was a good decision. He really loves her, and she loves him as if he were her own. I know he didnt mean what he said but it hurt and I dont know how to explain to him how mean it was. And I dont know if i should let Ashley come around either, I think she wants to but I dont know if id be comfortable with it.

She will drink out of a sippy cup but only if she is laying down or I hold it up for her, how do you teach her to hold it up by herself? She still drinks a bottle for most her fluids until she masters the cup.
