yes, i would say your daughter is very smart. that is such a lovely thing that she has, and i think she will excell in any school that you put her in. she is showing very good signs of brains for a child of only three!

I think your daughter is smart. My daughter could do all those things, and she turned out to be very smart indeed.

I don't know whether a private school will be any better for your daughter than any other kind of school, as I am not familiar with your educational system. Here in Ireland, it doesn't seem to make much difference what sort of school you send your smart child to.

Don't push your child into doing things before she is ready. Although she can recite the ABC, it is unlikely she will be able to read before she is four so don't waste too much time trying to teach her. Instead, show her lots of other things, get her interested in stuff that they won't teach in school, and make sure she learns how to interact with other children.

If you want to put her in a private school, do it. You don't need anyone to tell you that it's a good idea. She's your daughter and you should do what you feel is best for her.

My daughter talked at 9 months and amazes me every day with the new things she knows. I just ignore what people tell me to or not to do and go with my gut instinct.

As long as she's happy and healthy she'll excel!

In our extended family we have several 2 and 3 year olds. In my observation I see that they are all smart. One two year old counts to 25. A second grade teacher in the family says kids are smarter, younger these days and that is why all day kindergarten is important. I don't know if your child is extraordinaire but definitely encourage her.

my oldest daughter, now 10 was able to, by the time she was 2 recite her alphabet a-z, count to 10, identify all her basic shapes and colors, spell and write her first name.....and i could go on. now she is your typical average 10 year old. when a child is young they have the ability to learn and take in so much, their mind is like a sponge absorbing everything. as they get older it get harder. keep working with her and teaching her. don't push her too hard or she may get burnt out. try pre-school. it not only gives them the chance to learn, but helps them with being around children their own age. as for schools, private schools have less students, so it gives the teacher more time to work one on one with the child, but it could get very costly. public schools are good too, they just don't give the child individual time. good luck no matter what you decide. sounds you you have a very bright child.

i would say that she is very smart and advance for her age as being a teacher myself. Continue to do things with your daughter. talk to her and answer all her questions. this is the age where she is really learning and will answer tons of questions..also let her watch education programs like Dora or Blue Clues ect. Keep up the good work..also now would be a perfect time to start teaching her a new language like Spanish

when i was little my family spent a lot of time with me, so by the time i was 3 i could so simple math and at the age of four i could read books.

Right on target for her age.

But private school will absolutely help her and encourage her creativity and intelligence.

She does sound like she has a good deal of intelligence, but not overly. A private school is always the best if you can afford one. Best of luck.
