My son has been thowing up half the night but isn't running a fever at all, in fact his temp is rather low. Is there anything I can do for him? If it continues obviously I'll take him into the emergency room but at this point I don't think that's necessary.

If he's been throwing up half the night you don't need to take him to the emergency room. They will send you home unless he shows signs of major dehydration. He would have to be lethargic. I would monitor him the rest of the night and try to give him Pedialyte, Gatorade or popsicles. Try to keep him hydrated. If he takes small sips and throws them up, chances are he's still getting some. If he's still sick tomorrow, call his doctor and they will tell you if you should bring him in or tell you signs to watch for such as his skin elasticity, sunken eyes, etc. which are signs of dehydration.

I've been through this and once before and my daughter had to get fluids through IVs twice. However, they can't help him until he is very dehydrated to the point it's frightful. Hopefully he's over the worst of it. Good luck!

it truly is not uncomplicated to respond to, there are various opportunities, that I received't record because there is not any reason to make you panic. gentle tummy is often not a good element. If he can drink then save him hydrated. watch for a fever. If he develops a fever then I propose taking him to the ER. also, once you've any doubts then you ought to flow to the ER besides... call the overall practitioner first element contained in the morning. i desire he feels better and that not something severe is misguided. that's so scary =(

Make sure he has plenty of liquids because vomiting will cause dehydration. Then call the doctor. It could be food poisoning, an allergic reaction or something minor, but throwing up all night is not something to ignore. The on-call doctor will give you advice.

You don't have to take him to the ER but I suggest taking him to the doctor regardless if you think it's necessary. A 4 month old can quickly get dehydrated and cause more serious problems.

Has he received an shots at all or any medicine? If the answer is 'YES', it might be a symptom.

If no, take him to a doctor and ask. Don't say it isn't necessary because it is. It's caring for your baby. :) Hope I helped. I pray for your baby.

see whether he passes stools or flatus, if he doesn't ; it may be bowel obstruction or it may just be a food intolerance or indigestion. Check whether he has abdominal pain, half the night vomiting is not some thing to take lightly. think you better take him to ER.

I would take him to the ER now...a low grade fever is just as bad as a high temp in children. .
