My friend called me last night in tears, she had her brother in law and wife over with their little one about 14 months.
The little one took a tumble down the stairs, (She is fine, all little ones take a tumble once in their lives whether they be 1 or 90, Thats what i told her) After all the stressing over whether or not she was ok, her bro in law and wife were saying mean things like, well if there was a baby gate there this would not have happened, etc etc etc.
My friend and her husband have no kids, nor is she pregnant!
Was i right to tell her that it was not her fault and that they would probably just frustrated that it happened in the first place?

My daughter has some self control issues, mostly because she's four, but I still don't want them to continue into her older life. I've heard that putting children in karate classes can improve their self-discipline and self-confidence. Is this true? Should I put my daughter into a karate class?

He is 13 months old and I feel he is sick a lot! I'm into homeopathy type remedies for things and I'm a germaphob, so I have no idea why he gets sick so often. For instance he has chronic ear infections.
Can I use garlic drops in his ears (or has anyone tried this?)
Can I give him extra vit c?

Can he take acidophilus?....etc.?
What do you do to help your kids to be overall more well?

He uses the bathroom regularly for pee pee but will not poop. He does not do it in public, only at home. We have tried giving him treats, sitting him there at regular times, cheering for him, reading to him. It's almost like he's scared to sit on it.

I am really at my wits end with my almost 4-year-old!!! She started preschool in the fall, and absolutely loved it. About six weeks ago tho, she suddenly decided that she doesn't want to go. She has become such a HUGE disruption at school, crying, having temper tantrums, not participating in any activities or playing with girls that were once great playmates for her. Her whole personality seems to be changing, she is becoming withdrawn and backward. To top it all off, two weeks ago, she suddenly starting wetting her pants almost on a daily basis now!!! I took her to the dr yesterday to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection, which she does not. But I am sooooo confused and horribly frustrated with her! What do I do? Could she just not be ready for preschool? Help!!!

My son recently started daycare. At first he enjoyed it .. now he cries when I drop him off. He only goes 2 days a week.

He is almost 4. Previous daycare arrangements were always with my Mom. She has kept him through the day while I work since he was a baby. He was rarley around other kids.

He did say that he doesn't like one of the teachers. Is this normal? What issues have you had with your little one's first time away from home?
