Well, I pay my sitter $20 a day for my 2 yr. old. She watches her about 8 1/2 hrs. a day, I provide all the basics as far as diapers and food, although my child does eat some there also, since there are other kids eating different from what she has, and you know how kids have to have whatever someone else has... I think you could probably ask for a bit more, especially to cover the cost of the extra things you have to provide. I think you should be paid AT LEAST $2 an hour. What you make is below that, not counting the extra diapers, etc. Something like $75 sounds more reasonable if it's not family.

If thats all the girls parents can afford, then there really isnt much you can do if you want to keep babysitting for them. You could just ask for an extra $20 a week. If you still have to buy diapers and juice, try generic diapers, their cheap enough and also buy kool-aid. That'll keep costs down. Or, just ask her parents for extra diapers each day she comes, even if you dont need them. Then at least you'll have them there.

First of all you should NOT be paying for the supplies. That is the parents responsiblity! If I have a babysitter for my toddler (which is rare) I ALWAYS make sure everything is available and would never expect the caregiver to pay for that. I consider that the babysitter is doing ME a favor by helping me out.
As for the pay, I really don't know. I know that daycare is WAY more expensive than that for a full week.

not fair at all! The parents should be responsible for the diapers not you. As far as the food charge extra for some food, My daycare charges $2 an hour for a 2 yr old.

i think you are being taken adavatge of that is way under paid at a daycare they would be paying close to 150.00 a week so you are doing it really cheap.

not enough at all especially if you are footing the bill for groceries. are the parents eligible for welfare? if so they should be allowing you use of the food stamps to get her what she needs as far as food/drink.
