Toilet targets!! My son was the same way. I threw some Cheerios into the toilet and told him to sink the ships! He loved the game and (I almost went broke buying Cheerios), he got the hint and stopped peeing his pants.
Then, when poop training began he used his "torpedos" instead of his "gun" to sink the ships.
We laugh about it now, but it was a fun way to get him to use the potty.
Best of luck to you!

Wait. 2 1/2 is too young. The best you can do is open the dialouge and let them know how exciting it is to learn to use the potty. Boys are notoriuosly hard to potty train and the last thing you want to do is force them!! I have two sons who were both closer to 3 1/2 before they would do it and my friend with a 3 year old boy is having the same struggles. Be patient and it will happpen. Good luck!

Let him watch slightly older kids go on the potty...eventually he will feel left out and want to do it too. If you push the issue, he will resist. I thought with my son that at 2 I would start potty training. After 3 months of pure frustration, I decided when he was ready, he will let me know, so I let it go. He entered preschool at age 3 1/2, saw another little boy going to the big potty, and a week after that he was potty trained, all by himself. He is 7 1/2 now and I can still count on one hand and have fingers left over of the number of accidents he has had.
So I guess what I am saying is leave the suggestion of potty training there, but let him tell you when he is ready. He will.

I have a friend that lets her son pee in the shower drain. It seems to work 'cause the toilets too tall. They have one of those stand up showers without a tub...
But I've always heard to just take their diaper off and let em run around in the backyard naked and then when they pee you give 'em lots of praise.
To potty train my daughter I just took her diaper off and put princess underwear on her and told her not to pee on the princess' She wasn't even 2 yet and she got all serious and nodded and just started going in the toilet. I got lucky with that one! Good Luck!

Be consistent. I bought a kitchen timer and set it every 30 min to start off with. I'd put my little boy on the potty every time it rang gradually increasing it to every 45 min to 1 hour. Eventually he got the hang of it and we got rid of the timer.
This was great for me because it helped me to remember to put him on and it made it fun...every time it rang we'd say "Do you know what time it is?....potty time!" so it was like a game to him.

Well, we started with a 11 month old girl, so my first thought is that you are late, because it was very easy then... All I can say is be consistant and don't give up.
