My husband and I have mastered the going to bed routine but my daughter wakes up in the early hours- between 1 and 3 am and screams for me. When I go to her I am too knacked to do battle so she comes to back to bed with me. The odd nights that she does stay in her bed I shower her with praise to encourage her to continue, but she seems to get pleasure from making me pick her up at and bringing her to my bed. I am to tired to do otherwise. Last night she had the biggest grin on her face when she snuggled up to me, i felt a complete fool...she knows she has me over a barrel and I don't know what to do. Somebody help....at some point we plan to have another child and soon there won't be any space for my husband!

The other night there was a loud storm and our 4 year old was scared and came into bed with us. I'm usually a fairly sound sleeper, however he was grinding his teeth so loud at one point it woke me up. How can we get him to stop grinding his teeth?

My little one is 19 mths. Two nights ago she climbed out of her cot, by the foot of it , the bars are up fully and the base is as low as possible.I'm going to buy her a bed.Is she too young?
I will be getting her a full sized single bed as they are cheaper than the toddler sized beds and will last me that bit longer. But what about covers etc duvet or her baby blankets? Etc any body in this position before. Advice is much appreciated.

Well my baby had RSV when he was 5 months old its was so bad that he was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Well i think that he is getting it again. We just gave him a breathing treatment and well i guess my question is, is when i take his temp does it affect it weather he is screaming or not. I mean if he is crying does it make the temp go up even higher. and what is the normal temp for a tolder that is teething. PLease i need some answers Thanks

I am facing a 4 yrs old kid who will easily get angry when she was tried but still want to play and refuse to sleep. sometime she will angry for nothing. When she angry for nothing, most of the time I would try to talk to her and let her focus on other thing and later she will agree to sleep.
But someone told me i should punish her instead of doing all the talking thing. Beat her, she will know that it is not right to angry for nothing.

What do u think?

my husband usually is the one that's good with putting him to bed theres no problem with Daddy, he listens when he says "go to sleep" and immediately walks out the room. the problem is me. he cries when i leave him. i gotta tell him that i gota do homework that ill be in the next room but his reaction to that isn't the same as Daddy's and i can't find a better excuse to leave him. So i walk out of the room telling him that i gota do homework, that's when he'll cry, scream for me, hold his breath.. i feel bad. i know that i too need to learn how to get him to sleep on his own but i always find myself talking to him for over 30 minutes trying to pursuade him into sleeping by himself. sometimes im just too tired so i sleep next to him until he's asleep. any ideas.

My daughter is 29 months old and has never had a hair cut. Her hair is pretty thin and curls up just a little on the ends. It looks pretty stringy and getting her to let me brush it is a major ordeal everyday.I know women with toddlers and even pre-schoolers who have never had haircuts and they have long thick beautiful hair.(their parents claim it is due to the lack of cutting) Will my child's hair get thicker if have it cut?

I found an awesome E-book on potty training in 3 days or less. The method is awesome and easy, yet something most of us probably wouldnt try. It totally did the trick with my 19 month old daughter and my friends 3 year old very difficult son, so I thought all you other moms out there deserve to see this. If you have tried everything and nothing has worked, this may be just what you need. Or if you are planning to train soon, take a look at this, it could really make your life easier. I'm not saying it will work for every kid, but I figure you guys could at least give it a shot. If there is a way to make something easier, us moms definetly deserve it. Email me, and I will happily forward it to you. Lots of love to my fellow mommies and daddies!

Ever since she was born, me and her father share custody but I have her all week and he gets her on the weekends which I think is fair, but my daughter throws a horrible tantrum every time she comes home and says she doesn't want to be with me anymore. It hurts me so much because we have such a loving family at home, she has two brothers here at home. I've talked to him about her fits and he just says that it's his only child and he can't control how much he spoils her. Any ideas on how I can get her to be happy when she returns home?

I'm just wondering what time a three year old should be in bed. Other parents are telling me that my daughter, who is recently attending preschool, SHOULD BE in bed by 8:00-8:30, but she's typically not in bed and asleep until 9pm.

What's your viewpoint?
