My son is going to be a year old on November 6. I think he is ready to be taken off the bottle. Plus, I would like him to be. He is fascinated by us drinking from a cup and sometimes does with our assistance. However, when he is offered a sippy cup, even with the stoppers out, he refuses it and gets plain mad. Can someone give me any pointers and maybe a time frame of how long the transition may take for the average child? It is getting frustrating.

My just-over-three year old boy is as stubborn as they come. We've been trying to introduce potty training but he is not having any of it. I'm convinced he knows what to do, but he simply doesn't want to. So far, he has given up eating chocolate and watching Thomas since these are rewards for using the toilet. These are his favorite things, but he would rather go without than use the toilet. Any suggestions? I've tried underwear (not long term, but here and there) which if he wets, he finds uncomfortable, but still to no avail. He is just so dang stubborn that I don't want it to turn into a battle of wills, but I really would like to get past diapers with him!!!

I have a 22-month old daughter who I read to and talk to all the time. She listens very well and follows through when I tell her to do something, like "pick up your toys and put them in the toy box", but she doesn't talk much. She can say a few things like "Here you go" and "Thank You", but not much more. I'm constantly pointing to things around the house and stating what they are in hopes that she'll repeat it, but she doesn't - she just points also. What games and activities can I do with her to get her to talk more?

My little boy is about a year and a half. My daughter was around the same age. But she didn't have any sibblings then. The guide I used last time said that if there are sibblings it is a good idea to get a babysitter for them or leave them at a relatives house for a few days while you train. I do not have anyone to leave my girl with, and if I did I don't have the money to pay them. Have any of you potty trained a child while there were other young children present? Was it hard to concentrate enough on the one you were trying to train, and how successful was your attempt?

My daughters is m/o and I am looking for another diaper brand and I am trying to save money. We use Pampers Cruisers now and they are fine. I tried Luvs but they seemed to sag a lot and did leak also. Has anyone tried the store brands? Do they stretch to fit? Any advice or experiences would help! Thank goodness I wont have to worry about diapers for too much longer!

we have been desperatly trying to get her out of her pull ups, but she will not poop on the potty, she will either hold it until she has a pull up on, or not go at all. I dont know what to do with her.

We have just moved to a new house which has a hot tub with it. My Q is, is it suitable to let my little boy go in it (he's just turned 3).
He is having his birthday party on saturday & wants to go in it with his friends?
Is this a good idea?
Lots of love Laura xx

My two kids (3 and 4) get along well but lately its always a fight. Im so tired of breaking up these fights. With the exception of violence I was considering letting them work it out,no matter how aggravating their acreaming and whining gets. This will be good later on when theyre older and I wont have an emotional 9 year old who needs me to fight all their battles.

I put him to bed fully dressed in pj's when I check in on him during the night hes still dressed by morning hes buck naked. Diaper and all and he plays with his poo, its all over the crib, his hands, his hairs and smudged around his mouth, when I check his teeth - poo. Not only is it disgusting but its also annoying having to change his sheets damn near everyday. Is this an actual "problem" or does he not know any better?
Only serious answers please all b/s will be reported.
